  1. I'd try splitting the motor first off as chances are it'll be covered in all sorts of grease & fluff. Then check the brushes as there is a possibility that if they are not too worn then a good clean up could do the job. Regardless i'll dig out the catalogue numbers for you and pm them to you. They will cost you in the region of £6-50 for the pair, far cheaper than a new motor..
  2. It can also be used to polish out the milky look to the headlight lenses.
  3. Welcome to the forum. I've had my Zed for three years now, its gone through each MOT with no advisories and other than servicing the only cost i've incurred is for an O/S window motor although i got a cheque back as it was under warranty. The N/S window motor i fixed using a set of brushes from Maplins. Happy hunting.

    Legal?

I don't see that these would cause the MOT tester to have a coronary, they look like they'd pass.
  7. As much as i love the LMGT4's the Rotas look just as good in my book.
  8. Each to their own, i suppose it takes allsorts, just not the Liquorice ones.
  9. Hey Christof, welcome to the forum. I can only agree with the replies you have already received and that is to read as much as you can on this site as you'll find the answers to all of the questions you've asked and more.
  10. These window motors are a notorious pain in the ass. Have you taken the motor itself apart to see what condition the brushes are in? Chances are they're worn out and the insides are filthy. A quick fix is to clean out the motor but this won't last long before it fails again. I repaired my motor by going to Maplins and buying new brushes. There is a bit of fettling involved to get them to fit but i've had trouble free operation for over a year now. If you need the catalogue number pm me and i'll send it on. Hope this helps. P.S.can't read the thumbnail as i'm using my phone to reply to this post.
  11. I totally agree with Mouthwash.
  12. Congratulations in finding employment, you do know that your Zed shopping list is going to grow exponentially before you even sniff your first wage packet? Enjoy.
  13. Welcome to the forum. There are pages and pages of stuff to look through regarding what to look for. The one that Ebized mentioned is probably the best. It also might be helpful (because we're a helpful bunch like that) to, when you spot a Zed you fancy ask if there is a forum member close by or close by you who can take a look at your potential purchase and give it the objective once over. This will give you some peace of mind and possibly some bargaining power. Good Luck.
  14. In the last 3 months I've had someone reverse into the rear of mine denting the rear quarter panel, breaking some clips and wrecking the rear light, the other friday night left it outside the girlfriends only to leave in the morning and find an 18 inch scratch halfway down the drivers door. This is the second time I'll be paying for repairs in as many years due to dickheads who are either jealous or just can't park straight!!! It just makes me so fcuking angry.
  15. It looks really tasty, nice and subtle, tastefully done. Have you got a specific front splitter in mind?
  16. Mine were pretty milky looking so i rubbed them down with 2500grit wet 'n' dry and then applied clear marine varnish. They came up looking like new.
  17. If you ask Paul at Midwest nicely and let him know of your criteria he'll hunt one down for you. He's always travelling to trade auctions. He also does finance now which may or may not be the answer to your prayers..
  18. Try doing the pedal dance and record it with your phone so you can then count the flashes to give you the fault code and you can then do what's necessary.
