  1. Maybe you've had the same problem that I recently encountered which was knackered springs not pulling the shoes back. One of the worst bits of design on the Zed is that crappy inboard h/brake.
  2. As Rob332 says, I had this trouble with one of my S14's and it was soon sorted. Not so sure about MJC's diagnosis as this would be felt without using the brakes especially at speed.
  3. There are a couple of youtube videos on how to remove your door handles and I totally agree with Tea and Wax about using a fine grit paper or a fine Tech non woven abrasive pad (Scotchbite), I would have thought the grey pad would offer a fine enough key for paint and won't leave scratches deep enough that the paint won't cover up. Good luck with it.
  4. Hey Mike, if you're going to have a go yourself which surely can't do anything but give you experience then I'd suggest using a cocktail stick to apply the paint instead of the brushes supplied with the touch up kits. Unless you are going to use a model makers brush which come in the smallest of sizes using a cocktail stick gives you more control. It may be more time consuming but I've found the results far better. Unless you're an old fashioned signwriter you'll more than likely get better results this way. Good luck with it. OOoppsss, just seen the date of your original post just curious to know how you got on with it?
  5. As Ridz said if you're using a mat that isn't located on the little plastic peg then this could have crept up and could be causing the interference you are experiencing.
  6. Fingers and toes crossed for you mate, conditions up in your part of the country look absolutely shocking and happy to hear your insurance company are going to take the hit.
  7. No reply mate because as you know my girlfriend is seriously ill in hospital with little or no reception in hospitals and as I explained last week in a PM to you this is where I would be spending the week. You didn't get back to me as you promised after I said I could make payment on Friday as a result of no contact from yourself I've bought elsewhere. So as a result they're up for grabs and my conscience Is clear.
  8. Welcome to the forum Mike. you should find everything you need and more on this site and anything you're unsure about just ask. You've no need to buy a flamesuit.
  9. Welcome to the forum and you'll find a wealth of info on this site.
  10. Hey Matty, welcome to the forum. My Zed passed its 10th birthday last year and I have no rust on the car at all. With regard to rear wheel arch rust, in my experience this is down to owners not cleaning the inside lip of the rear arches especially and road crap and muck collects in this lip and when damp is a breeding ground for tin rot. The next time you wash your Zed run your fingers around the lip and you'll see what I mean as you will more than likely be pulling many years of collected crap. My Zed is my DD come rain or shine and a little work on your behalf can prevent this problem Hope this helps
  11. Hey Stevee, welcome to one of the friendliest forums around. There is a massive wealth of knowledge to be found so enjoy both your Zed ad the forum.

  17. Hey Kharmon, i'm glad to hear that you've been successful in wrapping your "B" pillars and other pieces and what with Christmas (bah humbug) just around the corner saved yourself a few quid and gained new skills in the process. Nice one.
