  1. Whereabouts did you put your hands in order to get hold of tin? I'd like to buy it to try it.
  2. Hey Des, congratulations on the purchase of your Zed, lets hope it gives you miles of smiles. Welcome to the forum.
  3. You won't want to be paying for what they're asking for one on Fleabay then?
  4. You have removed the excuse of a handbrake drum assembly that sits inside the rear hubs haven't you? because the likelihood of those things being strong enough to lock the rear wheels are virtually nil.
  5. Hey Oliver have you tried www.ecutesting.com. If you have an ECU problem they pretty much guarantee to find it. They rebuild ECU's or at the bare minimum test all of the internal components to find if there are any faults or components that need replacing. Every ECU they work on comes with an unlimited lifetime guarantee and any replaced parts are of a higher spec than OEM. I have no affiliation with his company neither do I know anyone who works there. I just know a few friends who have used them and can't praise them highly enough. Good Luck.
  6. £200, is that all. I paid £650 for OEM on my 200sx a few years ago as I'd bought a couple from a breakers and they were bordering on being dangerous. At that price I can' wait for mine to fail .
  7. Welcome to the forum Perry and congrats on buying a Zed with the best colour they ever painted them.
  8. I'm in agreement with Zeus here, they're not the hardiest bits of equipment and can be responsible for a multitude of sins when even slightly damaged
  9. What a beautiful GTR, it has all the right bulges in all of the right places. Its absolutely stunning.
  10. Could you not try using a little Urethane adhesive which is what Nissan use for gluing the screen? Other than renewing the complete seal I'd give this a go first as you might be able to spend 2 weeks in France with what you could save from Nissan if it worked, or alternatively
  11. Along with JJDugen, when I got my Zed all those years ago i was surprised at just what a rust trap the rear wheel arches were. They collect all of the road crud to the point that its packed so tightly that unless you knew there was a lip there you'd not bother cleaning all of the muck out and as it remains damp from October to May you have the perfect environment for growing mushrooms. I clean all of the crap out of mine twice a year with my fingers.
  12. When I bought mine 4 years ago (Azure Blue) there was only one other silver DE I used to see off Abbey Street, they're everywhere now, I've run out of fingers and toes counting them all.
  13. I always go for Megs NXT metal polish, this is also a good short term fix for milky headlamp lenses also.
  14. I'm with Ekona, I use Meguiars tyre Endurance tyre gel I can't remember whereabouts I read it but I did read somewhere that smooth peanut butter is good for cleaning and restoring the colour to black plastic. I've yet to try it myself but I'm doing the shopping tomorrow and am going to buy a jar to try it myself.
  15. The last few photos Jon really show off the pearl (not too sure of the paint codes on the 370's) to great effect, its come out really well.
  16. Hey coldel, I thought your Celica was looking really nice until you decided to go for the Rat look. .
  17. I suppose you could say that after 10 years, practice makes perfect and also it appears that the best finish is all down to the preparation. A fantastic job, and after six days you get what you pay for.
  18. Congratulations Ron on your purchase of the best colour zed Nissan. I hope it gives you thousands of miles of smiles.
  19. I love these wheels, unfortunately this month has seen me buy a Y pipe back system otherwise I would have snapped these up. If they're still for sale by my next payday (LOL) which I very much doubt the I'll take 'em.
  20. Hey Hudders, welcome to the forum and congrats on your purchase. Some photos would be good as would some photos of your bike.
  21. Use the search facility as this has all of the information you need in order to do the job safely and also covers the electrical connectors regarding the airbag and how to remove them without damaging yourself or your Zed.
  22. Not sure if this is relevant but one of my 200SX's did this, especially on damp mornings and like yours seemed to disappear after everything had warmed up, perhaps your belt is a little loose and with the damp its making it slip or maybe the belt is just knackered.
  23. If the seals are ok and they're generally in good condition they may help someone who's suck and prefers to change OEM for OEM instead of aftermarket. Also depends on mileage they've covered.
  24. I recently bought a Varta Blue for £82 comes with 4 year guarantee. Part number; D47 (005). I've always used these and have had no complaints or problems.
  25. Hey there Wwzed, congratulations on a very tidy looking Zed, I don't think you could do much better that buying a car from the forum. For any parts . Welcome to the forum.
