  1. Brad, get in touch with Shire350Z as I think he's now the regional event organiser. If I can get away fro work I'd be happy to fly up to Derby on Christmas eve.
  2. There are a few guys around the Leamington, Coventry, Southam, Stratford, Hinckley Check out the East Midlands site you'll find there are owners in Coventry, Southam, Leamington, Hinckley, Leicester & Bedford as well as Rugby. Its a good forum with regular runs & breakfast meets etc
  3. Hey Jonny, welcome to the forum. Had 2 S14's myself before I switched to my Zed and I've got to admit I don't miss my 200's at all even my 2nd one which had a forged motor, big turbo and Noz.I thought about going for a Spec R S15 but I love the torque of the Zed so much and its looks are second to none & like nothing else. I still visit the SXOC every now and then. Go on, take the leap you won't regret it.
  4. Hey Brad welcome to the forum. that's a tidy facelift Zed you've gone and bought yourself there. I'm just up the road from you in Rugby.
  5. Gummi Pflege, Gummi Plflege, Gummi Plfege and once more for the hard of hearing Gummi Pflege. Good prices from Amazon.
  6. Veilside had one not so long ago. PM him he may still have it + GT4 had one also. Hope this helps.
  7. I know I've been asked before for catalogue numbers of replacement brushes that with a little fettling do the job (mine are 2 years in with no problems) but I lost the info. Well I've found the part numbers so here goes for anyone wishing to save a fair few quid and fitting their own: Eurton Electric Company = Part No; 2227140 cost @£5 posted Reedy Serrated Brushes = Part No; 767 £3 pair I've yet to get a catalogue number for brushes from RadioShack. Radio Control car parts suppliers you can try Trinity 4500NT for approx. £2 to £3 a pair, I hope this helps anyone who wishes to try a little DIY. As I mentioned a little fettling may be needed but mine have been trouble free for 2 years plus.
  8. I'm not sure if anyone has encountered this before but I went to pick my girlfriend up from hospital and as we pulled out she decided to lower the passenger window. When she tried the switch to raise it, it just wouldn't move at all so she then decided to lower it all the way to see if it would then go back up. I've had problems with dodgy window motors before so knew it wasn't that as they give up over a period of time. So by the roadside I tried to remember the window reset to no avail. I then tried the window reset as recommended by Nissan, again I couldn't remember the exact procedure other than to jiggle the micro switch in the door jamb, to no avail. I ended up taking the drivers side switch panel apart separating the connectors and spraying it liberally with Q45. I put it all back together and bingo the window went straight back up. so we ended up having a warm journey home. I'm thinking that 10 years of UK weather has got into some of the connectors & switches. Now we're back at home I'll be having the door panels off tomorrow and making sure everything is corrosion free and waterproofed. This may become more frequent as our cars get older.
  9. Mods please close as I've purchased an amp. Thanks.
  10. All depends on the PCD of the holes. Not sure what this is for Fords, I'm sure someone will weigh in with the correct size and yes aspect ratio is important not so much the width though.
  11. Such sad, sad news R.I.P. Martin. Condolences to his family.
  12. Glad you got a quick diagnosis John.
  13. For the price of a sheet of 2500grit wet n dry and a small tin of marine (very high UV resistant protection) clear varnish, I'm two and a half years in and they look just as good as when I did them. Just a thought
  14. I'M so glad that Nissan decided to change the design after the massively expensive hub/bearing assy on the S14. After a couple of tries at breakers I ended up going OEM at the cost of £650. It gave me peace of mind but my wallet was none too happy. Heat and a mallet should see you right Alex.
  15. As previously mentioned SGS.
  16. Is there a vehicle electrical specialist near you? I encountered problems at the start of the cooler weather so took my battery for a health check (cost nothing) and found that my battery was pretty much fit for the bin. I ended up getting a Varta with 4 year guarantee and have not had a problem since. AS mentioned recently the battery goes through a really good workout what with lights, heater, rear screen heater, seats, etc, etc. This will just about finish it off unless you have dodgy earth or some other drain.
  17. It could be a collapsed silencer or at least a silencer that is breaking up. You didn't run over anything crushing any part of the exhaust on your journey back?
  18. If you have a smart phone you can record the pedal dance and by counting the flashes work out the code from your recording. A reader would be the best way to go though.
  19. Have you thought of using Q20? Its a spray on lube but doesn't seem to leave a residue like WD, its great for firearms and all sorts of applications, but then again its German so I'm not sure if their claims are true LOL.
  20. Welcome to the forum Ash and congrats on the purchase of a tidy looking Zed.
  21. Welcome to the forum Rob & congrats on your purchase.
  22. Gumpy must have shares in a bubble wrap company. The item I bought a couple of weeks ago could've been dropped from a 10 storey building and would have survived intact.
