  1. WOW, words fail me, this really is something special. There are so many beautiful touches. Mark you truly are a master.
  2. B***er, I bought a Y pipe back replacement for my OEM last week. Mike, I'd have snatched your hand off if you'd have advertised it 2 days ago.
  3. Hey Olly, welcome to the forum.
  4. Hey Ryan, welcome to the forum. You'll find everything you need to know and a whole lot more including Zeds for sale on this site. Happy hunting.
  5. Welcome to the forum and congrats on your purchase, It looks really tidy. I hope it gives you as much pleasure and reliability as mine and many others have had from theirs.
  6. Welcome to the forum and I hope the Zed is everything you want it to be.
  7. The right hand tip of my OEM exhaust clatters like a bag of spanners when cold. Its loose where the chrome tip is rolled over the inner part although I'm not too bothered as its a bit like a teabag with leaks in all the usual places but will be replaced from the cats back on Monday.
  8. You could do it yourself by replacing the brushes as its these that are usually the cause for failure. Cleaning the motor may work but only for a short while. There are a couple of places you can get brushes from, One of them being Maplins. I can't remember off hand the name of the other place but I did post this info a while ago with catalogue numbers for the parts. a search should help you find the info as I don' have it at hand at the moment.
  9. The 350z Nismo was built to celebrate the win in the 2004 Japanese GT500 Touring car championship so a road going version of the winner was produced. This was the 350Z Nismo S-Tune GT. They were all handbuilt at a rate of 20 per month and production ceased in August '05 with only 54 cars being built and completed. They were fitted with branded Nismo bucket seats, LMGT4 wheels and a full Nismo exhaust amongst other things and was tuned to 296bhp. Oh yeah, it was fitted with Brembo's as well as the Nismo bodykit. I'm thinking that your mate is pulling your pisser LDUNKZ18.
  10. Have you thought about contacting Greg Gush at ProTuner? I think he's near Redditch and I know he does remaps, has a dyno and does rev-up remaps. Not sure if NOS is his thing but its worth a call or email him greg@protuner.co.uk or www.protuner.co.uk.
  11. If you get stuck, although I'm in Warwickshire I'm due to visit some friends in Long Eaton (just down the road from Nottingham) soon. Not that I want to steal ZeppoJeff's thunder, its a backup for you.
  12. Hey Jack, welcome to the forum and glad to hear you're really enjoying ownership. There is plenty of helpful info on the site, you should be able to find out anything you need to know.
  13. Wow, that's outrageous, my local Auto electrical company did both of mine for the grand sum of £0000. I've only used them a couple of times in the last five years so its not like I get preferential treatment for using them regularly and I'm not related to any of the staff.
  14. My Zed has had a creaky clutch for the past three years and I've not encountered any problems. Its not got any louder so I'm going to leave it until it goes pop
  15. Do the pedal dance and record it with your phone, count the flashes on playback and this will give you the code, simples.
  16. I think this just goes to prove that most of the "Techs" at Nissan dealerships are like most double glazing salesmen. As soon as the warranty has run out find yourself a competent independent. The Dealership "Techs" at my local dealership don't know the difference between a radiator and an intercooler and its already been said, for their hourly rate you expect a decent level of competence.
  17. As Brillomaster mentions above, check the oil level, plus what sort of pressure did you get before you took it for a service??
  18. Duudiiz, have you managed to sort your problem out yet? I'm sure its not just me who is curious to know what the problem was and just what the fix was.
  19. If you have a smart phone then you could always record what the CEL is doing. When I've done the pedal dance before I was too busy counting the timings between each step to count an accurate number of flashes. I'm not implying that this is true in your case but at least you'll have an accurate record of exactly what is happening. Just a thought.
  20. If you can upload a video that would be useful as it would give us all a better chance of diagnosis.
  21. Yup, you've got it. Its not a great deal of work at all and like I say mine has been running trouble free for 2 years plus (except for today, but that was just damp in the switches on the drivers side switch panel, a squirt of Q45 and all is well again).
