  6. Welcome to the forum. You're definitely going for the best of the three you mentioned. Happy hunting.
  7. I wonder if anyone has experienced something similar to what my Zed is suffefing at the moment. Every time i pull away something is tapping at the same speed as the wheel. It stops when i reach @40mph. Also if i drive round left hand corners the noise is louder and round right handers it disappears. Also if i gently apply the handbrake the noise stops completely. I reckon its something to do with drum but wondered if anyone had encountered anything like this before i strip the rear to investigate.
  8. Welcome to the forum Marc, looks likr you've a few busy weekends ahead of you.
  9. Thanks Octet, thats a handy list to have to hand.
  10. I've looked without success for a solution to a problem that has been afflicting the rear o/s inboard drum brake of my '04 Zed GT. When driving at any speed below 50mph i get a knocking sound which disappears when going around right hand bends/corners. It also disappears when i lift the handbrake lever (not full on but enough to engage the shoes). I know that its going to have to be stripped but was wondering if anyone has encountered anything similar and has a fix for this. Its definitely not clicky axles. Any help would be appreciated. Oh yeah its an '04 Coupe with GT pack with 80k on the clock, i've owned it for 3 trouble free years. Thanks Sent by phone so mods if its in wrong section please correct.
  11. I fixed mine for £6 over a year ago and it still works as well as the one i had replaced under warranty, so if you're into a bit of easy DIY........
  12. Ajay Panchal who designed the 350Z was born in Leicester. 18" wheels on JDM zeds are an option. UK cars have enhanced VLSD cooling over JDM models. JDM ECU gives 10bhp less than UK ECU'S. I'm all geeked out now, time for bed.
  13. I tried to use chips away, i contacted them twice, twice they promised to get back to me and twice they failed. I'm only thankful they didn't get back to me!!!
  14. As Marzman mentions Humbrol paint #54 is a great match for the gold Brembos. I also use a cocktail stick instead of a brush as you can add very small amounts to build up the paint & you also have plenty of control when applying it.
  15. I thought these thing died a death around the same time as flip paint.
  16. Welcome to the forum and congrats on the purchase of your Zed.
  17. Welcome to the forum Tremayne, you'll certainly find plenty to read and pick up no end of tips. Congrats on your purchase.
  18. Congratulations on being the proud owner of your new Zed & welcome to the forum.
  19. I wouldn't bother wasting your money at Halfrauds, discount or not. They mixed a small pot for me and it wasn't anywhere close. I asked the guy who mixed it to come and check his work against my paintwork, he beat a hasty retreat and i got my money back.
