  1. Oh yeah Karl I've just found it; P2A03 = Air/Fuel sensor 1 bank 2 circuit range/performance. What the hell it means though other than the sensor is knackered, I'm afraid I haven't got a bloody clue. I'd still be inclined to let Mitz do his magic.
  2. As i understand it (and am prepared to be proved wrong) when you hit the brake pedal the ASCD switch turns itself off and then the brake lights come on and does the opposite when the pedal is released. The ASCD switch has something to do with the cruise control as well i think like when you touch the brakes it disengages the cruise control (just read that yours is non GT so this may not apply). The ECM distinguishes what position the switch is in. The ASCD switch is mounted next to the brake light switch. As Alex says i just hope its a glitch of some sort.. Keep us informed as to how you get on.
  3. I can't remember the name of the guy who designed the DE engine but it was designed to cover 200,000 miles with regular servicing and there are owners on this forum will testify to that so if you'e considering keeping it for a while mileage won't be a problem. The HR engine has a few more BHP (313) but lacks a little torque over the DE. As already mentioned the bonnet on the HR can be fitted to the DE. There is ONE 380 Nismo RS in the country and that is in Scotland and was imported and what I'd give to own that, The DE sounds like the better option for you, plus depending on when it was registered you might be paying nearly half the road tax of a later registered '06. Hope this is of some help to you.
  4. Hey Jack, welcome to the forum and congrats on the purchase of your Zed.
  5. Andy, why don't you pop into the Cougarstore tomorrow and ask Mitz nicely if he'll plug in his code reader, that way you'll know for sure whats wrong and the course of action you need to take in order to fix it?? He's in Leicester so can't be that far away from you. It just seems strange that you're only getting 2 slow flashes before it goes into the fast flashing series to give you the code.
  6. Like Zeus, I've made my own pair of 5" high wooden ramps x 30" long and once the Zed touches the little raised bump stops at the end of the ramp the my normal trolley jack has plenty of room to slide underneath.
  7. Whenever I've removed my undertray I've always sprayed the bolts with plenty of Q45 (similar to WD40, but better) the night before removal and then used copper grease on the threads when refitting. Seems to prevent heads shearing off and excessive rusty threads,
  8. A couple of things; i thought the CEL flashed slowly 10 times before flashing quickly then giving you the code and once the fast flashes for the code had stopped it flashed slowly 10 times again. Secondly could the 11 flashes then 10 flashes then 3 flashes mean that the code is P1103 which is a problem with the MAP sensor heater?? Just a thought. I suppose the only surefire way to get a definitive answer would be to plug in a code reader.
  9. Hey mitman, welcome to the forum and congrats on your purchase.
  10. Hey Jordan, welcomr to the forum and congrats on purchasing your Zed.
  11. Nice one Lexx. Looking forward to this, Date entered in my diary.
  12. A "Bodyshop" filling rotten wheel arches with Chemical Metal. Jeez it seems that most places are just after a quick buck and have no understanding of the words recommendation, reputation and pride in their work. Businesses like these need naming and shaming so no one else gets shafted with crappy workmanship
  13. Have a word with Mitz at CougarStore and weigh up the cost against fuel and ramp time to Milton Keynes and back and put the cost & time of a trip to Leicester and back as time you'd have had your Zed on the ramp replacing the arms for the first time. Just a thought.
  14. Hi, welcome to the forum Edwin. As has previously mentioned, there is a comprehensive buyers guide thats worth reading on this forum. If you download an app called VEHICLESMART, it will tell you whether it passed its MOT with or without advisories, what those advisories were and the mileage of each MOT so that'll give you some idea of history. If its been owned by someone young or someone who's worked for a few years then chances are they can afford to have repairs not lash ups (although that could depend on the garage that did the work) and maintenance done on schedule. I've had my '04 for just over 4 years and its never missed a beat except N/S window motor (fixed myself with a new set of brushes) exhaust, tyres and regular maintenance. They're pretty reliable and tough motors designed to cover 200K, but there are more and more people doing well over that with no complaints. Ask nicely and a member from your area may go along with you to offer advice. Good Luck.
  15. The only problem i see with parting out is the time it could take which wouldn't be so much of a problem as long as you have somewhere to store it, but it could take a while. What Andy James has done to his is also tempting an amazing transformation, but maybe you're right, after ten years of 350Z ownership maybe its time to treat yourself which is what I'd do IMO. Good Luck with whatever choice you make. FYI, I've just downloaded an APP called PARTSHARK and they have an '05 DE with 73k on the clock and it has a £6500 price tag make of that what you will.
  16. You'll be very lucky to get a yellow one for that money as there were only 76 yellow GT4 models brought into the country and 100 Kuro Black ones, they were all numbered and had a plate giving the number & that it's a GT4 model between the sub woofer and rear glove box and they fetch premium prices, unless of course you buy one that's had a respray. Good luck with your hunting.
  17. You're asking for a pair, so what exhaust are you running? If you describe just what it is then that might help you get a reply and some help.
  18. I don't have the details but there was someone selling Z centre caps on fleabay about a week ago.

    Wtd: 350Z Key.

You can code your fob as per Gixxers post (link above) and as already mentioned Micra keys have the same internals and go your local independant cobbler and get it cut.
  20. Welcome to the forum and congrats on purchasing your Zed. As has already been mentioned, a lot of our Zeds have a bit of a rattle regarding the clutch & flywheel.
