  1. Looking for the mid pipe that connects the y pipe to the back box for a 04 coupe. Any info much appreciated

    Nissan Cherry

Automatic Three door 1985 Nissan cherry for sale. Only two owners (both family members) with just over 50000 miles on the clock Runs well but a bit battered and bruised as you'd expect for it's age Chassis looks okay, bodywork has had a bit of welding on sills and arches. MOT expired in feb Maybe of interest for a cherry turbo project Looking for £500 ono
  3. Shrewsbury mate, the flexi part of the pipe on the off side is broke and blowing. Getting a mate to sort it out, he says the middle silencer, back box and pipes thankfully look in good nick, flanges look a bit corroded but he reckons he can repair them, so just need the Y piece
  4. Anyone got a y piece for a 2004 GT knocking about please?
  5. problem solved, secured it under the main assembly screw, it does the job but its definitely not the way it was located previously as the cord had a retaining plug on it
  6. Thanks for the prompt replies guys. Thankfully the cord is fully intact but strangely there's no locating hole as in the photo just one hole to locate the screw for the main assembly, plus there's no sign that anything's been sheared off, confused now
  7. Recently had a rust job done on the offside rear wing which involved respraying the full panel, just been to fuel the car and found they haven't reconnected the plastic cord that attaches the fuel cap. Looks an easy job to clip it in but can't see anywhere obvious where it locates. Advice would be appreciated, have already tried the search feature but to no avail
  8. Haven't got a clue how I managed to underline that post, must be something to do with my IT ignorance
  9. We are all guilty of breaking the speed limit at some point of the journey everytime we set out in a car, I'd be very surprised if someone can honestly say that they never stray marginally over the speed limit, we all do it. I regularly see marked police vehicles and even safety partnership vans travelling at slighty, and in some cases significantly, over the designated speed limit. Not in any way trying to condone speeding but there is a big difference between marginally exceeding the speed limit, for example doing 45 mph in a 40, than driving at over 60 mph on the same stretch of road. But unfortunately, whatever the circumstance, if you do get a ticket for exceeding the speed limit you have to take it on the chin
  10. My gut instinct when I met the dad was that he was a decent genuine bloke, if I had any doubts about him, even in the slightest, I'd have taken the insurance route. Again fair play to the bloke he did exactly what he promised with no corners cut or expense spared. Will give him a call in the morning to say thanks
  11. Got the car back today, been away in Ireland earlier in the month and didn't want the job done until I got back just in case there was any contention to sort out. Very happy with the outcome, genuine door from Nissan and sprayed/fitted by a reputable dealership body shop. Fair play to the lads dad, he stuck to his word and sorted things out properly with no half measures. Lovely to have the car looking pretty again, pained me to see her looking busted up and sorry for herself
  12. Got an old polo GT as a runaround so don't need a hire car. Just pleased it's being actioned quickly and via a reputable source, plus if I'm not happy even with the finest detail of the job it'll be staying where it is until I'm satisfied
  13. The dad came to look at the car yesterday evening and is ordering a door from Nissan which will be put on by the local Vauxhall dealership. Might sound strange but the fella used to work for Vauxhall and knows they'll do a top job which I can verify as the bodyshop manager once sorted a spray job on my old 200SX and it was spot on. I know he priced a door up yesterday as I spoke to the Nissan parts manager who happens to be a friend of mine plus, without sounding cynical, I'll check later to day to make sure it's been ordered. Also the job is going through the books at Vauxhall (not a cash favour) so I'll get a full guarantee and it won't be accepted if I'm not fully satisfied with the repair. So all in all happy with the arrangement so far
  14. Thanks for the advice chaps, I'll see what his dad can offer and if I go down that route I've got a little bit of rust appearing on the offside rear arch so will negotiate that to be chucked in as a goodwill gesture for the inconvenience caused. Really pi**ed off with it already and can do without the grief, plus it pains me every time I look at my car
