  1. Sounds like one or both of the gas struts is shagged (Technical term). You can get the re-gassed or get new ones. I don't think it's an expensive job and is easy to DIY (Did our Focus a few years back and it was a 10 min job). as he probably will have some!
  2. This will make a really nice car for someone and what a bargain! This is yet another example of why this forum is so great! Excellent work and GLWTS!

    Exhaust wanted

My silly phone can't get the smilies... So hopefully my code is correct or
  4. Really nice work! Hope I can get mine looking as shiny when we finally get some decent weather!
  5. He's obviously spent a lot of money, so is probably loaded! I bet it's his girlfriend that's making him sell them! No single man would give that collection away!
  6. To be fair, that is a serious collection with some pretty rare items. I guess it's only ridiculously priced if there's no one willing to pay that much!
  7. A collection sold for $1.2M last year... www.techspot.com/news/49326-huge-video-game-collection-sold-for-12-million-includes-games-for-22-classic-consoles.html Madness really, when you consider that you could get most via free emulation software... But I guess that's not the point.

    Engines

Where did you get that info from? I can't see the rev-up weighing 90kg (~6%) more than the non? My350z website, that weight is over the entire car, not just the engine, sorry, badly worded on my behalf! I realised it wasn't just the engine you were talking about... It'd have to be made of iron or lead for just the engine to be 90Kg more! I'm sure those figures are correct for the American cars, but I just don't buy it for the UK spec? They are basically the same car with the same engine... Only very small changes were made like a few things in the interior. I have no evidence to the contrary, but I just can't see what would make the car so much heavier?

  10. Do you work for Japspeed? That sounds like a sales pitch to me! Top quality product then!
  11. If going to the GP you aren't going to get anywhere near Monaco in a car! We stayed in Nice and got a 1 Euro bus... a scooter would have been even better as we could have parked it practically next to the track! A car would have been nice for cruising around the rest of the places though... lovely part of the world and the GP experience is unforgettable!
  12. Voted: Does seem pricey, but I love outdoor karting! I'd be willing to pay extra for the 1100m circuit!
  13. Nice, I've always thought the interior would look nice in moleskin and I guess suede would be pretty similar!
  14. there is the dry sump method. basically you leave it till the engine spits a piston through the bonnet, then you know its time to top it up again, On second thoughts, the current method seems ok!
  15. I did both my foundation and practitioner in Leeds, but the company I did it with have offices all over. Not sure they are the cheapest, but they got me through both courses, so was money well spent (By my company)! http://www.qa.com/certification-programmes/project-and-programme-management-certifications/prince2/prince2-foundation-and-practitioner/ Details of courses above and I think they also now offer an e-learning version which would reduce the time needed in "the classroom".
  16. I'm monitoring mine at the moment, but I've only done 250 miles since my P2 service in December. How do you tell how many litres (Hopefully just ml !!!) you've used when checking the dipstick? I know that max is 4.7l, but how much is left when on min? This would help to calculate how much has been used.
  17. Are there any alternatives on the market?
  18. I've had it a year and bar 1 tank of Tesco Super it's only had V-Power... I can't vouch 100% for the 5 years before. I bought it from an independent dealer who obviously said it had, but they nor the original owner could prove that either way, so the damage will have already been done!
  19. Mine has started to use a bit which has made me a bit paranoid. Going to get it scoped / compression tested when I get the revup in a few months, although I'm not sure if that will detect this specific issue? This is the one piece of info I missed when doing research on the Zed... I'm not sure there's an easy fix either as it's something to do with the piston holes (I know there's a proper name for this, but I can't remember!) not being quite round enough which leaves a slight gap for the oil to get in and burnt. I could be wrong, but I think if the oil consupltion isbad, the only option is a new engine or rebuild, which is obviously £1000's?
  20. brave man driving round with that v2 front bumper Great snowplow though!
  21. Nice looking Zed! Where did you get the blue spacers from / what make are they? Me likey!
  22. Ouch, it makes me cringe just thinking about it! Hope you're better soon!
  23. Received mine today, many thanks! Now just need a nice day to attempt it!
