  1. Alex and CS have everything you'd ever need. A really decent setup would be DBA Rotors with DS2500 pads or you could go OEM with a Brembo setup. I am currently running Black Diamond discs and pads from CS and have had no problems. These are on the lower end of the price scale though and hence will not be as good as the DBA... but are absolutely fine for everyday road driving.
  2. Gold Stars for using the search! I also get this when revving hard, but the smell is gone when I stop and check. I am going to put it down to the cats (And material inside) heating up... It's a logical explanation as it isn't a clutch smell, rather a sooty burning which would again point to the cats. If you're worried and there is nothing else obviously wrong with the car, then take it somewhere to get looked at by a proffessional.
  3. I guess it depends what you use for car for and how heavily modified it is already? If you are a competition racer or drifter and worried about 10th's of seconds in lap times then it might be benificial. For general road use, I highly doubt you'd notice any difference, unless you are super lightweight, forged and FI? This is just my opinion ofc, I have no technical knowledge or experience with this, just seems likely that the oil filter isn't a performance bottleneck.
  4. So sorry to hear about you cat. Our cat was killed in an RTA nearly 2 years ago and we still miss her. I know it sounds stupid, but it's like part of your family is missing, I truly sympathise.
  5. Zeddie Mercury? As for mine... "My Baby" when I'm winding my girlfriend up, but usually just "The Zed".
  6. Me! Thanks ph 7, I owe you a pint or 2! Are you going to Wales in May?

    eBay induction

I have no experience with these, but the old saying "you get what you pay for" is almost always true with very few exceptions! The tube may be cheaper than the Berks, but will it corrode after 5 mins and start to chip / flake? Buy cheap, pay twice?
  8. Can you not get replacement silver inlays with the gear layout, or is the whole knob worn leather and all?
  9. Damn my slow broadband, glrnet beat me to it!
  10. Probably, but not via wire! You'll most likely have to wait until 4G coverage or similar... and it will probably be a long wait at that! This was on the news the other day, maybe other schemes will start elsewhere: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-21455795
  11. Who'd want green though? I mean... seriously...
  12. Nice work, welcome to the club and remember...
  13. That's the picture I almost posted! Not sure about the kit etc... but the colour is gorgeous and there aren't many around in the UK!
  14. I think they will look absolutely mint... you need to do this immediately! I'm not a fan of multi spoke on the 350, but the 370 seems to pull it off. Black and yellow is also a winning combination! Those are CH's? Some inspiration for you:
  15. I'm a massive fan of The Who, sadly never seen them live. Would have been nice to see them in their prime!
  16. All 3 of those look nice, good luck with the hunt!
  17. Loving the shiny shiny! My 2 favourite moments of Zed ownership so far are when my gigantic Nismo box arrived (Courtesy of Tarmac) and when I collected the car from the garage once it had been fitted!
  18. This might well be the real world and maybe all the paperwork and T&C's were in order, but it would be a cold day in hell that I gave up on £500 without exploring all the avenues first. I'm not for a second suggesting that the car dealership should be screwed over, but at the end of the day, they still have the car to sell and can presumably get more for it now it has been repaired, so their loss, if any, should be minimal.
  19. Ring your credit card company and raise a disputed charge. I'm not sure where you stand legally, but I don't see how a deposit is ever non refundable unless They also have no legal right to keep it though, unless there is a signed agreement stating this. Even then, I'd be calling my credit card company and raising a dispute. Just becuse someone's time has been wasted, doesn't mean they get to keep £500... God I salesmen... pushy arrogant *******... (Not directed at you Dean )
  20. Is he Alex's beer making cousin?
  21. When I had mine done I supplied 3 bottles which was enough (Although I also had my clutch slave cylinder done). I might be making this up, but I think you need 1.4L for a full bleed? I am probably wrong though!
  22. My garage charge £25 labour for a gearbox oil change, so you'll be loooking close to £60 with oil and molyslip. I can't say it madde a huge difference to mine, but then mine wasn't that bad in the first place. Defo worth doing, especially as you're supposed to have this and the Diff Oil changed every 36,000 miles (IIRC). Anyway, got all the stuff required from Alex, next day delivery. Anything that potentially prelongs the life of the gearbox is money well spent in my view!
