  1. Are there any of the current batch left?
  2. I use mine everyday, although I only have an 8 mile round trip to work... I do now look forward to going to work though!
  3. I got the new red ones a few weeks after I'd taxed each of my cars.
  4. Or a Ferrari 355/Viper SRT-10 Yeah exactly, although I didn't know those were in my price range!
  5. Surely if you had 30k to spend on a car, you wouldn't ever buy an 8 year old 350z? Don't get me wrong, I love my 350z, but if it was my 30k I'd be buying an almost new 370z or a 911 with a few miles on the clock...
  6. Thanks both, I can see myself ordering some of these in the very near future! I'm a big fan of the 5 spoke design and especially like the LM GT4's, but for the same price, you can get a set of these with tyres... winters for my old Rays and a new exhaust! I know you probably can't compare the 2 sets of wheels, but any weight saving / performance difference would be pointless for my driving style.
  7. Those Rota's look really nice! What tyre size would you need front and rear assuming the rims are 19x9 front and 19x10 rear? Apologies, I probably should've searched, but hey!
  8. I bought mine just under 2 weeks ago. I paid 9.5 for my 56 GT (Blue) with 38k. It was advertised for 10k, so were quite a few GT spec facelifts with sub 50k. Try Parkers, although for a 56, they value it with 50-60k, but still might get a rough idea (If not already done so). I wouldn't have though 10k was out of the question, but colour and not having the GT pack could affect how much someone want to pay. How much tax have you got left? I personally wouldn't have paid anywhere near the asking price without a decent amount of tax left. Good luck with the sale though!
  9. I've had mine 11 days and only managed a little over 200! Must try harder!
  10. Calverley, so Horsforth isn't too far. I'll give them a call and see what their prices are like.
  11. It would appear that I need to get a new set of rears (After I found out today that they are the wrong size!) Halfords receipts in the owners manual should have rung alarm bells! I currently have a set of VUS on the front and RE40's on the rear. My plan is to get some proper size VUS for the rear and keep the RE40's so next time I replace, I only have to buy rears again. Can anyone recommend a good supplier / fitter (That also do laser alignment) in the Leeds area? Obviously Google is a good place to start for actually sourcing the tyres, but I don't know any decent fitters as have only ever bought the cheapest possible for my old Punto.
  12. Checked the pressures and the fronts were down to late 20's. Rears were in the early 30's, so all now at 35. I did notice that the Rears, although fairly new, are the wrong size... 225 instead of 245! And there I was thinking my head had made the purchase. Clearly all I noticed was "blue shiny". Will the smaller tyre size cause major issues? I'd like to at least run the car for a few months before shelling out ~£600!
  13. So, first check this morning, tyre pressure. It's funny you should mention Z4's as I was very keen on a Coupe. I'd heard that the run flats were pretty bad, sadly it was the extra £1000's and not the ride that turned me to the Zed.
  14. So I've been driving my Zed for less than a week and still getting to know the car. I have noticed that the car pulls (Right and left) when driving at pretty much any speed. I had read about tramlining before I bought and expected a little. Althought I have no personal experience previously, the amount I am experiencing just doesn't seem right? I figure it's nothing too drastic, no noise from the suspension, all 4 tyres are in good condition with hardly any wear etc, but could one or all of the following possibly be aggrivating "normal" tramlining? 1 - Vreds on the Front, Bridgestone on the Rear (Not ideal I know, but I've just bought the car and don't want to fork out for some new Fronts). 2 - Tyre Pressures? 3 - The appauling state of the roads in Leeds? 4 - Tracking / Allignment? (Although I haven't noticed any uneven wear). 5 - Anything else? Your thoughts / advice please? Loving the Zed though overall!
  15. Yeah, totally... and since I'm very inexperienced driving a RWD with a lot of power, if it is nasty over the weekend, it'll be staying on the drive!
  16. Hi, Weather permitting, I will be collecting my 350Z tomorrow. I have wanted one for absolutely ages and managed to find a 1 owner 56 Facelift GT (Azure) with FNSH and only 38k. I am, needless to say, well pleased! It's going to be a fairly big step up from an R reg 1.2 Punto! I will post some pictures over the weekend (If I stop long enough to take any).
  17. Thanks for all the comments and advice. I will definitely keep any eye on the Z's for sale on the forums (part of the reason for joining). I will keep looking for the right one and will hopefully post back with a success soon. Paddy
  18. Firstly, hello all. I am looking at buying a 350Z in the very near future. I went to a dealers today to look at a black facelift (56) GT which was advertised for just under £10k. I had high hopes that this was going to be the one! It wasn't and I was so disappointed by the condition that I walked away before even driving it (Or even looking inside). Rays were scuffed and starting to bubble, few scratches and lots of stone chips on the bonnet, including one on the corner edge which had started to rust. My question is; am I expecting too much from a car of this age? What would you consider reasonable wear for a 6 to 8 year old car? Cheers, Paddy
