For sale is my D1 Spec v3 Throttle Controller purchased new last year from Horsham Dev. This is a really fun bit of kit with 7 Eco and 9 Sport settings. I no longer require this as I have just had a remap (and have 5 settings with this). This is a complete kit, in excellent condition, including all boxes and instructions. I am looking for £80 delivered.

Had a look, but you can't seem to get just the Z and the whole logo is about £15... I don't really want to pay that much, so wondered if anyone who had de-badged had some they didn't want / need for a few squid. Either that or I know a car park which will be full of "spare" ones in a few months!

Definitely not an eBay conspiracy mate, that's how it works. As Watshot said, you only wanted to pay a maximum of £76, but someone else bidding was prepared to pay more, so they got it for the lowest bid above your maximum. They may have been willing to pay £90 or £300, but the winning bid will only ever be £1 over what the 2nd highest bidder was willing to pay.

I totally get your point about having more grip and being able to stop quicker. You could also not accelerate as hard or brake as late if the conditions demanded using summer tyres. Obviously this doesn't account for an emergency stop situation, but the winter rubber may also not depending on the scenario. I'd be interested to know how many winter miles you'd have to drive that the wear on summer tyres paid for an £800+ set of winters? Also, you'd have to replace the winters every 2-3 years.

Winter tyres are pretty extreme for the 2-3 days a year you'll actually need them. I know they're not just for snow, but these are the only conditions you are likely to have no traction, making a summer tyre totally useless. Having just driven from Sussex to Leeds (And having to abandon my car at the bottom of my road in Leeds) I could have done with a set, but this is the only day in the last year I've had a problem and we've had a few days of bad weather recently. Best bet is to just leave her where she is unless you absolutely have to!

Has anyone actually used this stuff? I'm looking at replacing / upgrading my coolant hoses soon so will have to replace the coolant as well. Is this stuff worth it?

I've refused to pay or asked for it to be reduced over the years with mixed results. As far as I've been able to tell it's just a bs figure that they can charge. I'd definitely try to get out of paying it, but chances are you won't get away with it. Letting agents are one of the lowest forms of life and totally useless / unhelpful... unless they want money from you!
