Love 1. The version 1 Nismo Aero kit and LMGT4s that were available from Nissan. Really suit the car and don't simply look like bolted on bits, with the LMGT4s being a timeless classic with simple yet elegant lines. 2. The tiny vibrations from the gear knob gentle massaging your palm and fingertips as you change gear reminding you of the slightly raw edge the zed has. 3. (With the aid of the forum) How reasonable parts and servicing has been over my past 11 yrs with my zed compared to the Zed's Germanic contemporaries. 4. YOU GUYS WHO MAKE UP THE OWNERS CLUB......I may not post much but I read through daily learning about all things zeddy and many interesting off topic stuff too. 5. I absolutely love how the signature Sunset Orange paint glows under the sun or at night under streetlamps etc. Hates 1. The Sunset Orange paint looks so dull when overcast. I washed mine this morning and my 8 yr old daughter asked why it looks WORSE than when it was dirty last night under our wall mounted halogen security lights 2. How you have to remove the bumper or arch liners to replace a headlight bulb. Dreading the day I need to do this as reading about other people's exploits makes it sound like a right palarver compared to my car's of old where you simply pop the bonnet and switch them out. 3. The tailgate niggles......The struts that despite be the uprated ones, now still will drop if not opened fully. Actually very dangerous if you didn't know about the guilotene action whilst loading stuff in the boot after having given some frantic finger action to the release button to get it to open in the first case! 4. For a car with such dimensions its boot space really is incredibly small and awkward. Still get caught out sometimes with a small box that fits but won't allow tailgate to close. 5. Power enhancing mods seem soooo expensive compared to it's turbo charged brethren. No chance of a simple remap unleashing a bigger kick to the kidneys. Not a real buggy for me as I'm happy with the mere 280ish bhp that I hope I still have from the factory.

Has alot to live up to. Hope it's a goodun.

Check the flange where the back box meets the mid pipe. Common place to fail. Can get it welded at an exhaust place for cheap while you decide if you want a shiny new system or just leave it repaired.

Complements the side steps perfectly

I actually prefer how other drivers treat the zed. When I drive my wife's mini every Tom Dick and Harry seems to cut in front of me and bully me if I'm in the outside lane. Drive right up my backside as if to say "your girly car belongs on the left" Might be due to the big Hello Kitty air freshener dangling from the rear view mirror In the Zed however people tend to give me more space than I need. For example I'll be in the slow lane. Up ahead in the distance is a bus stationary at a bus stop. Many a time the drivers in the fast lane leave a big gap for me to overtake even when I'm just chilling ready to wait for the bus. They probably see the zed and anticipate an aggressive overtake! In the Mini it'd normally be the opposite.

My Fk453s have embossed on the tyre "outside" to indicate what way round they go on.

I was reading the comments and they said the trailer was fake.....proper ruined my day as I was getting all excited about the sequel coming out. Tron Legacy is my go to film when I want to flex my subwoofer in my surround sound system. The bass goes so deep I worry about my 20 yr old subwoofer shaking itself to death

Keep some water in a bottle at room temperature. When you go to your frozen door take said water an run it gently over the joints between glass and frame

Do these clear the UK brembo brakes? I know some US and JDM Zed's came with 17s but maybe they had the smaller brakes. I suppose if you were really looking for 17s you could always do a backwards brake conversion to the smaller zed brakes to prevent them fouling smaller rims.

From Rx8 to 350z soon hopefully
HEADPHONES replied to LukeA's topic in Introductions & Welcome Messages
Happy zed hunting. I used to see quite a few Rx8s around. Hardly any round my way now. I hope they don't disappear. Always used to exchange mutual nods of appreciation as I passed one. -

If the ecu is showing up O2 sensor fault I'd clear it and leave it if everything is fine and it doesn't light up again. Both times mine lit up it was the same thing. The first time I went to the garage to double check. They just relieved me of £25 to hook it up to their code reader and tell me they'd reset the ecu and if everything is fine to leave it

I can understand why you wouldn't want any future communication with Aldershot but I'd drop them a polite email with pics of the bungs just to inform them of this error that has gone unnoticed on supply and subsequent services of the car so that systems can be put in place to safeguard other customers. I know they probably won't give a monkeys but it would be interested to see how they respond to your polite heads up. Then forward their poor or lack of response to Nissan head office as really there are safety issues that could be going undetected all over the show if they really are that bad.

Just try the reset after pulling the codes as sometimes the ecu just throws a wobbler and a reset sorts it. Happened twice to me over my 12 yrs ownership. Never returned for years and subsequent services and checks didn't uncover anything untoward

You can pull the error codes or video the flashing lights and post up a video if you struggle to decipher the readings. There is a list of error codes and what they mean on the forum....... somewhere

Zed looks fantastic in Azure. Sometimes wish I chose Azure myself. Welcome to the OC.

£241+vat sounds quite reasonable for a bumper. Sounds like a new bumper may work out cheaper than repairing an old one in certain instances!

When you say broke in early in the morning I'm assuming that it was when the family were in the house still sleeping When I was about 15 this happened to us. Single mum with us 3 kids they thought no risks. We woke up and everything was gone. Car tv washing machine fridge.....even the kettle! The thought of intruders while you're sleeping is way more disturbing than the loss of a car. Hope that wasn't the case this time.

I still find the above NSX mesmerising. I'm assuming all it's had is tints, a drop and rims but to me it just looks so much purer and special than the new NSX with all it's vents and scoops. I know the new Civic Type R would leave this for dead at the lights but this is probably my favourite from Honda. I even prefer the original pop up lights!

Taken with my new Oneplus3 phone using auto everything choosing HDR. Compared to the old Galaxy S3 it replaced the camera on this phone is amazingly easy to get half decent results. Don't know if it's the sensor or the software but I'm more than happy with the results on auto for low light conditions!

Really love how the reflections from the lights travel from your numberplate to the front wheel to the back wheel : thumbs: Eagerly awaiting your final edit Stuggers!

You should sell your story to be made into a short film. ADVENTURE COMEDY TRAGEDY and a HAPPY ENDING

I see two options. Either drop all the oil out and measure the drained oil and then refill. or Add a litre......leave overnight. If no reading add another and leave til evening. .....then add another until you've added 4.7 litres total including the two already added. If still no reading go back to option 1 and admit your dipstick is truly demonic as i cant see how if you added nearly 5 litres you wouldn't see a reading.

Cheers. Found a HD copy on YouTube so happy days
