IF it was a timing issue then surely its not going to be that hard to sort. He mentions a specialist has looked into it thought which makes me wonder its something more sinister.

If its that easy to fix, fix it then sell if for more.

There will be a limited market for a non-runner as you have to take the sellers word for what is wrong with it.

Didn't the poor guy have some ECU problems too?

You can buy a running supercharged zed for less than that.

I was once lucky enough for chris to pick me up in this. Jesus did it fly, nearly quite literally down a country lane over a hump!

Good memories.

He also says he had the engine rebuilt... It's basically totally f**ked and he's desperately hoping to get some of his money back.

The chap was on here wasn't he? I think he's had problems with the car almost since he bought it so I can understand how he's probably had enough.

You're right on all counts.

Controversial but I'd have to say you'd be mad as a shithouse rat to pay that for a non running car that's been fettled with more times than Jordan's undercarriage

You know I completely missed this thread at the time I had it up on Flea-bay ^^ lol.. Good news is The Green beast is running better than ever :p bad news is I still need to sell her which sucks, but that's life (or the wife) not sure which. Also the car hates me, the more money i put in to her the less she wanted to run haha. Anyway - in a nutshell (and i have to say I learnt a lot this year about that car) The rad fans had a break in the wiring, the engine was obviously over heating and the first thing to break which in a way was a good thing was the Bank 2 cam sensor, I went through 4 before realising what the issue was.. anyway a long story short no.5 cam sensor is going strong and the car is literally back to brutal.. 50,500 miles on the clock and is going up! :p Which puts a very big smile on my face every time I get in her.

So new timing chain set, new clutch and flywheel, sparks, coils, oil filter, tyres, engine belts and some other bits but all worth it because Keyser's build is still a complete beast!!!! and still makes me sh*t my pants.

She is back on eBay at the moment, breaks my heart but very simply cash is tight. Having twins does that :surrender:

** Thinking about downsizing to a N/A 350z something that doesn't cost me £100 to drive 20 miles :p
