  1. Thanks Alex, will take the clutch apart when i get home from work and get some pictures going.. I wasn't sure about what could be done with the fly (i'd heard some flys could have a new ring gear put on) but as it's attached seemed easier to send the lot and let the buyer decide what the want to do with it.
  2. The key is to make me an offer - I had to put a price, if you saw in on eBay then you know how much i'll take for it. I did say in the advert "No idea how much this thing is worth" Maybe you can try giving me an idea of how much I can sell it for rather than be sarcastic and nonconstructive on my post ? Cheers - and just for you guys I've also updated the price on the original post too!
  3. Hey, Quick overview.. I've bought brand new Cam sensors recently, and I have new coils too. Also I've literally just replaced the sparks for Irridium one step colder IX. Since replacing a blown cam sensor about 3 weeks ago, i've been having this really random startup issue.. sometimes i press the button it just fires on the first revolution but 9 times out of 10 it either wont start or it chokes, grinds and pops and low rev before firing up. (before you ask, yes the coils are new, however with the original coils in it didn't fire at all). Also when i took the old sparks out (which were a month old) there was heavy carbon and they were very wet, however new sparks don't seem to have made any difference :/ as a side note, I'm keen to get this random start-up sorted as will soon be looking to sell her as the wife really wants a new house.. and i think she's planning on bankrupting me to do so. I did have a bargaining tool tho, said if we get new house I get a R35 GTR.. only fair ^^ hehe anyway quick video below shows the issue (about 2 mins in) Cheers again!! 4. Selling my Carbonetic twin plate clutch for a Zed, clutch done about 10k give or take.. I swapped out for a Extreme twin in January as the flywheel (which is included) has broken teeth. No idea how much this thing is worth, I know my extreme was £900 odd and I know a replacement flywheel from ATS japan is over a K. No shipping charge as i'll send from work - £250 PM me Cheers for looking guys
  5. yes, yes I have a celica!! I know, but it gets me from A to B.. Unlike my Zed haha!!! agreed on pairing!! Although does look like your talking or singing to yourself!! Plus I have no friends so don't do much in car chatting... Teehee
  6. heading out of Hull at 6pm seen on stretch between brough and Newport on A63, was behind you in the Celica.. Passed you before Newport!!! Looked like a fairly important phone call 😠you were having
  7. You should try 1st, 2nd & 3rd gear in a Zed Keyser built.. I need a hammer to get it in!
  8. Mike can you remember if the Zed was green? And if the driver was sobbing and looking very grim?
  9. Hey Lip I don't know much about the error codes but I can tell you some of the things to check as I had a very similar issue. first i'd try the easiest solution. ECU reset - effectively called the pedal dance.. http://www.technosqu...om/350reset.htm - if you have had the TB off or replaced chances are you'll need to reset the position etc...this reset procedure is rather tricky to get right so stick with it.. (reminds me I have to do mine again tonight) I'd say the chances of the ECU being toast are slim, especially if you are getting error codes but look at that as last resort. My ZED had been playing up for months before it died.. but in the end it turned out to be a blown Bank A cam sensor - I would replace all these sensors anyway Bank A & B cams and Crank.. but replace with OEM - the aftermarkets are gank. Also worth checking coils and sparks. and also check the MAF sensor is plugged in on the air intake. Hope you get her started edit - oh and get a trickle charger plugged in... if you haven't already ^^
  10. Very sad news, not far from me.. Heart goes out to the families.
  11. From the album: Some After Dark Green Envy

New NISMO number holders ^^.. only a minor upgrade.
  12. Update to my update lol!!! So done 200 miles this week trying to bed in my new clutch.. Car has been running beautifully.. maybe running a little rich and can smell petrol!! I have new coils and sparks coming next week so looking forward to that... However tonight hit a glitch... Car broke down on the way home from work on the busiest round about in Hull lol!! Was rather embarrassing so say the least.. The Bitch isn't exactly the most inconspicuous car... AA read the codes P0340.. bank one cam position sensor (knew this anyway as the Slip lights came on), the exact same sensor that I replaced last week to get the car running.. I am going to replace the sensor again along with a new bank 2 also. Question for the techs out their.... why does my car keep eating cam sensors?? what the F*** is causing the failure on these sensor (the timing chain is new, and obviously timed up so can't be this) and where shall I get new ones from as Amazon obviously isn't a decent source?? Thanks in advance
  13. I hope so Keyser... Got to get her through an MOT now :/
  14. I just want to thank everyone in here who helped me with my Zed issues... Guys I really appreciate it. Ok... Last Sunday I was tinkering about around the Bitch as i usually do and with a host of newly acquired parts decided to have a clean and a tidy.. (what else can you do when your zed has been dead for 8 months and after 3 garages had no idea :/) I put in a new crack sensor and decided to give her a try.........nothing still dead, however it did cough and give me a glimmer of hope, it also...... Threw a code ^^ Cam bank 2 sensor Now last January I bought 3 new sensors from a shop on Amazon.. not sure who it was but 2 cps and 1 crank these did not fix the issue, I then went on to do other stuff as per my first post. Yesterday I decided to replace Cam bank 2 with a used sensor from Emperor Tuning (ebay)... and you'll never guess wot... she F***ing Started and she revved.. however she was popping and spluttering down the left bank.. so this morning decided to open her up and take off the intake and play with the coil plugs, and............yup 4 & 6 plugs were on the wrong ones :/ im such a n00b, so she has been as right as reign all day, bombed into Hull to show her off to mates and family with a massive grin.. so again guys thanks for all the help suffice to say she's off eBay now I suppose the moral of the story is, don't always trust what your buying, the sensors I got off amazon were obviously duff.. and these used sensors from the zed breaker on Flea bay did the trick so happy, so so happy!!! shame ive missed all the meets and car shows this year Thanks again guys
  15. Well i've had a little time off, last fews days anyway and the wife is out of the country so started to look at her again.. as by now you might have realised i've been trying to get rid of her as is causing a HUGE headache.. :/ no takers yet tho.. not that i'm bothered too much ^^ Anyway.. and update - I put new sparks in after she broke down and at weekend I got chance to run a compression test.. all cylinders are at 175. however two of the spark are black and the others clean? both sparks came of our no.5 and no.6 - when she was in the shop I was told that she was sparking erratically? I've been through the wiring for the CPS sensors again and i've checked the MAF along with the coils and their wiring too. Everything looks ok. She still cranks, pops and bangs and very rough idle with foot on the gas.. I have replaced all the CPS sensors and the crank sensor, considering getting another set?... running out of ideas now, I'd rather not take the timing cover off again unless I have too, as when Chain was replaced it did look timed up. So, gonna continue to sit in her on my drive and look cool to the neighbours
  16. Nice well shes locked away till next Tuesday so will have a go at reloading keyser's orginal Map ^^
  17. No their the original cams, The chain i'm certain was aligned correctly (although i'm no pro).. , saw the marks on the chains line up the notches on the gears :/, is it possible in the map on the haltech i need to change the cam position? to be honest the only thing I haven't done since all the work has been done is plugged the laptop in, is it possible that with the battery being on and off a billion times that the haltech will need the map reloading? - Mind boggle, this is why i work in marketing rather than in a mechanics workshop, although right now I should actually be doing some work rather than googling Haltech lol
  18. Just had a brainwave... maybe someone can point me in the right direction here.... Tomei Procams + Haltech Platinum Pro... so its vari-cam?? now i've got a new chain on and it's all aligned will i need a re-tune on the haltech? hmm
