If you're happy to have your car back and a little, sorry a lot lighter on your wallet then that's all that counts. Always stay in contact with the guys working in your car. There's enough outfits out there, including some that may trade on here will rip your pants down and **** you over! I'm sure with my little (read no) knowledge that could be done a lot quicker than that! But hey, what's done is done. You can take the bloody engine out and put it back in 10 hours You can get a good service including consumables and labour for £400. I have attached the complete Hydraulics "Remove & Install" section which gives a full breakdown and the time booked to do the job....... Adrian_CNC Posted November 5, 2014 Share Posted November 5, 2014 I had exactly the same problem with corroded rear brake pipes on my 350 and it has been fixed in a much simpler way. I've been told that the brake pipes are well protected from rust and it's just the last few inches that rot away on our cars because they're exposed so instead of replacing the whole pipe (which is a pretty big job as apparently you have to take the fuel tank, prop shaft and exhaust off to do it) they could have just cut the rotten bit off and extended the pipe using flaring tools and connectors which all decent garages have.
