AMT Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 If the next Supra has any design ques from this then bring it on! http://www.autoblog.com/2014/01/13/toyota-ft-1-concept-detroit-2014/ The fronts a bit iffy, in terms of the pointy nose (lights are ok) but the side profile and rear (love that wee flick at the back) are very nice. Still got that long bonnet Supra look to it. I like it. Quote
delz0r Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 It'd be some job trying to park that in a Tesco car park! 1 Quote
JetSet Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Hmm, quite nice, reminds me of something...60's Marcos??? Pete Quote
The Bounty Bar Kid Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Someone hand me a towel! I just spanked my load Quote
evilscorp Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Different.... everything is a big YES! except the front, but I think it may grow on me. Very cool and hopefully they build something 'like' this. Quote
350 Russ Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 (edited) i think it looks absolutely superb! I really hope they make it and not have it as a 200k super car. Hopefully it would be about 50K with the ISF's v8 and a bit of aluminium to keep the weight and price down. Also it the Toyota FT-1 not FP-1 (splitting hairs i know) Edited January 13, 2014 by 350 Russ Quote
LRF4N Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Trying to decide if I prefer this concept or the nsx one. Both are stunning Agree about the nose though Looking forward to seeing what Nissan come up with for the next gtr Quote
zed 1990 Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 what engine is it getting thats the big Q ????? Quote
bronzee Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Toymota have definitely got themselves sorted these days for sports cars. The 86 is pretty cool as is the LFA, and now a Supra concept. Quote
Ekona Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 what engine is it getting thats the big Q ????? Large capacity NA, allegedly. That's for this concept, though. Which looks great. Which means the final version will look nothing like this, if indeed it ever gets built. Quote
WhackyWill Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Nice looking car, hope they build it. Quote
grahamc Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Trying to decide if I prefer this concept or the nsx one. Both are stunning Agree about the nose though Looking forward to seeing what Nissan come up with for the next gtr R36 has already been approved and is in the design phase I believe only due around 2017/2018 what engine is it getting thats the big Q ????? what engine is it getting thats the big Q ????? Large capacity NA, allegedly. That's for this concept, though. Which looks great. Which means the final version will look nothing like this, if indeed it ever gets built. Most definitely the big question, I would guess that it will be designed around F1 engines.... so smaller capacity, turbo and hybrid (or some sort of kers). Price wise, Im guessing above the £100k Quote
LRF4N Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 @ grahamc. Someone posted r36 concept pics here but not sure how accurate they are About time the jap performance cars stepped up. Looking forward to seeing them all. The RCF looks good as well Quote
Sam Mcgoo Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Love it. Kind of a mix of a MKiv Supra and an LFA. Quote
Suits Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 I think it looks great. I'm sure I read somewhere that a BMW platform was being talked about as well as a boosted BMW straight 6. Quote
AMT Posted January 14, 2014 Author Posted January 14, 2014 Irfan think it was me that posted those GTR concept look, but I've noticed the same sort of front end is on the Nissan sports sedan concept car at the latest motorshow (Detroit I think?) Quote
