2222Piggy Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Good morning all! I thought i'd take the time to join this forum as i am now the proud owner of a 350z for my daily commute! Im Daniel and im 23 with a passion for a variety of cars, as seen below Ive been looking for the right 350z for some time, and the right one popped up with full nissan history and the GT pack, rays and the birdview sat nav etc This is the beauty And as mentioned above, i like a variety of cars. This one i have owned for 4 years and restored and modified it to quite an extent. It is my original beauty. Its a Rover 220 Coupe Turbo. And the engine bay: Im sure the coupe isnt to everyones taste and might hate me when i say that in a straight line from a rolling 2nd gear start....the coupe leaves the Z quite easy. Ive joined really to get some advice on some engine modifications but im going to have a look around the site first Quote
Bakes100 Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Welcome Im sure the coupe isnt to everyones taste and might hate me when i say that in a straight line from a rolling 2nd gear start....the coupe leaves the Z quite easy. Not really too surprising as no doubt the Rover is running good power. Anyone who buys a Z purely for straight line speed is a fool Quote
sparky370z Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 love the gingers and yours seems to be a very tidy one!!!! nice one!! have just sold one just like that!!!! shame really would have liked to keep her "in the family" as it were. Quote

Anyone who buys a Z purely for straight line speed is a fool I havent had the rover dyno'd since i rebuilt it and upgraded a few things, but yes your right. For a 20 year old car, she shifts. I bought the z purely because its a nice machine and its very comfortable on a long drive. I spend 2 hours a day commuting, so i thought i'd get something i would like to commute in Quote
AK350Z Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 A rover coupe parked outside Halfords? Ahhh, them were the days..... Quote
Niko Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 nice looking zed, but I would say that having a ginger one to Quote
rabbitstew Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Nice to see a 220 turbo! Havent seen one of them in a very long time, most have long since rotted away. Most turbo cars will leave the older zeds like yours behind of the line. Quote
2222Piggy Posted April 26, 2012 Author Posted April 26, 2012 A rover coupe parked outside Halfords? Ahhh, them were the days..... I can assure you that there is not one single item on or in that car from halfrauds! The carwash was next to it so it was just convieniant Quote
ChrisS Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Welcome. We all use Halfrauds for Megs stuff when they do their 2 for 1 deal. He's just winding. Quote
