Rs2oo Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 I'm planning to buy another Z next year as a project (keeping the Roadster) I have a number of modifications to do and one is to paint the car in a distinctive colour. I came across this on Pinterest and absolutely love it. I can't think of a better colour. Any suggestions on anything else and what do you think of this ? It's Verde Faunus (light green) 1 Quote
ATTAK Z Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 That's nice but I favour a dark blue, somewhere between Midnight and Azure ... 1 Quote
Exotic Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 That green will certainly stand out, dark blue is probably my least favourite colour for a Zed as it just reminds me of the colour most german corporate executive cars come in (sky light blue I like though). I love my gun metal but wouldn't mind toying with austin yellow: 2 Quote
veilside z Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Wow what a lovely colour. Keyser and I love green :p Will you be able to find out the paint code.? 1 Quote
Juggalo Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Colour is such a personal choice. But for what it's worth, I quite like the pastel colour range Quote
Jetpilot Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 The bmw looks like someone getting over a cold has just sneezed on it, horrible colour, almost as bad as jewish racing gold. Purple for the win, less is more Quote
Ekona Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 No such thing as best colour. It's all down to personal choice. Some like battleship grey, I can't think of anything more dull. I love riviera blue, some think that's not special enough. 2 Quote
RickyZ Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 I like midnight purple, but yeah the green looks good too Quote
Paul K Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 why not get it Wrapped instead of painted.....have you seen some of the heat sensitive stuff, looks kind of bonkers Quote

Rs2oo Posted June 10, 2016 Author Posted June 10, 2016 why not get it Wrapped instead of painted.....have you seen some of the heat sensitive stuff, looks kind of bonkers I can get a professional re-paint for £850 from a mate who does it for a living, that includes the door shuts and tops of the wings under the bonnet. I did consider a wrap Paul but it cost more and it doesn't quite have the deep shine coats of lacquer add. Quote
Paul K Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 thats a damn good price..... Cadbury purple is a good shout (as above) Quote
GMballistic Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Some interesting colours I like from a quick google search just to give you some more ideas.... An example below of "Chameleon" paint (also available as a wrap) Quote

PPod Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Seen a bmw with java green and it was amazing that would be my choice if going green. 1 Quote
P15UL T Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Great price. Be lucky if that covers the materials used. Wish I had a friend like that. Lol. I usually pay approx £2.5k -£3k ( I had 4 resprays done on my 2 350zs). This includes fitting new bumpers too and usually specialist paint Paul :-) Quote
LRF4N Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 There's a guy up here who advertised full gloss resprays for £400 any car. Tempted to get one just to see how good/bad it is Green is nice when done right but it's been overdone on here. Iv seen so many over the years that's it's not unique enough anymore How about bmw San Marino blue or sakhir orange? Google them Quote
Rs2oo Posted June 10, 2016 Author Posted June 10, 2016 £850? Really? Mates rates !! I have to strip the bits off and help to mask it up then re-fit with him after. Not what you know, it's who...... 1 Quote
Zedrock Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 I saw one for sale a couple of months ago in grey, very similar to Skoda meteor grey or Audi Nardo Grey , looked great with black wheels ! Quote
