When is it 'ok' to have a Nismo badge?

I ordered mine with the Nismo Aero kit.

Told the dealer not to put the stickers on but leave them for me to decide later.

11 years on and I'm still deciding

The one time I think it is a must is on the LMGT 4 rims.

They just look naked without the decals.

When is it OK to put a Nismo badge on your car?

Your car... the most important part of the sentence. You can put an M badge on it if you want... might not look good and you might have the **** taken, but it's up to you.

Nismo is more a brand. If you have something made by that brand on the car then surely it's fine to advertise that fact by sticking a logo on it somewhere.

Kinda like having an Infiniti badge on last seasons Red Bull.

I saw a bog standard Quashqi with a Nismo badge in the grill.

I'd feel a bit embarrassed going to a car meet or similar place being seen by car enthusiasts pointing and commenting but hats off to the fella for not giving a monkeys and enjoying the "enhanced embellishment" on his grill.

I would however point and laugh out loud if there was a TypeR or AMG badge on the Quashqi

I find asking styling questions that for your car is like asking us what haircut you want.

Have you no personal sense of style or choiche?

Do whatever man, main thing you like it, the rest are haters

btw...

I have Nismo Gearknob, Nismo oilcap and rad cap, Nismo loud pedal, but no Nismo badge.

I do have a sticker from the Nurburgring, but only cos I actually went on it.

A work colleague of my mate put Bentley badges on his Chrysler 300c so my mate faked up a letter from Bentley saying they were going to take action against him and sent it to the guy. The guy came into work with the letter asking my mate for advice and he was told it sounds serious. 10 minutes later my mate sees him in the car park literally ripping the badges off his Chrysler! My mate never did tell him it was a joke

In my case hm... Haltech, Greddy,Mahle etc.... I find somehow Nismo worth being put on the car rather than any of above. Even car is Greddy TT i still think Nismo badges on front grill and trunk will suit just fine

As someone who stuck an italic nismo badge on a stock 350Z that only had some comsmetic furnishings I can't very well criticise anyone else for doing it.

I have also been challenged on the legitimacy of the nismo badges on my 380RS which in all fairness deserves as many badges as you could stick on it.

Horses for courses. So long as you're not deluding yourself that your stock DE \ HR can trounce a Porsche on account of a badge, fill your boots

No ukdm 350z should wear a Nismo badge on the exterior, suggesting its a Nismo version I reckon - apart from cf b post covers as that's how they come.

Interior or engine is OK, if you at least have a Nismo or replica part installed is gear knob, oil/rad cap/s, exhaust, springs, intake, headers etc

I remember putting the bonnet stripes on my XR3i to make it look like an RS 1600i . Around that time there was a guy around here who converted his standard 1300 Escort to look like an RS Turbo.I only realized what he'd done when I spotted that it was on a Q reg plate.

When I ordered my 05 zed from the dealership I chose the Nismo Aero Kit.

4 Nismo stickers were handed to me along with the keys so I suppose that washow it was "meant" to leave the factory.

So I suppose a zed with just a Nismo kit on could wear Nismo stickers with pride.

Nice car mate, is this a Nismo 350z?

'errrr no, but its got the bodykit and wheels'

Good mate of mine has a Seat Leon reference 2.0 TDi 140, with the dealer fit option aero/btcc kit and sport wheels. He can’t front and put a Cupra K1 badge on the tailgate as its not a K1 – same thing.

Well like it's been said before nismo is as much about styling as performance and I've never said or pretended it's a nismo version they were on the car and wheels when I bought it 9 years ago when it was factory fresh and I'm guessing as the previous owner would of spent around 6K plus on the genuine kit and the wheels so thought why not.
