Stuggerz Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 I can't decide if I want spacers or not. Sorry for the poor angles. Best i could find on my fone What do we think? Quote
ZeppoJeff Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 It's your car so it's ur choice in the end but yeah I'd say you need some spacers there 1 Quote
Stuggerz Posted November 3, 2015 Author Posted November 3, 2015 I kinda want them.. but needed another view from a fellow zed lover Quote
Ekona Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 No. But everyone will say yes, so I'm probably wrong. 4 Quote
martybhoy Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 I wouldn't say that the gap is drastic enough to need spacers. Just buy some fuel and go a hearty drive instead! 1 Quote
brillomaster Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Do you NEED spacers? No, of course you don't. the car is perfectly fine without them. do I think your car would look a little better with some on? I suppose it probably would. Would I buy spacers if it was my own car and my own money? No, I probably wouldn't bother! but as its your car and your money, yes it needs spacers, along with a TT kit. 5 Quote
Watshot Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Another no here. For the marginal aesthetic gain, besides the relatively high cost, from what I've read on here, there's a risk of compromising the ride/handling to some degree. So I wouldn't myself. 2 Quote
Stuggerz Posted November 3, 2015 Author Posted November 3, 2015 Majority vote No.. will move on to the next stage of zeditus 1 Quote
Payco Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Get spacers is my view. £100 is not high cost and it does not in any way compromise the handling (sorry Whatshot. Just my opinion for what little its worth. 1 Quote
M1 6RYF Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 (edited) Thats a hard decision, personally i like my wheels to sit flush, but your wheels sit a tiny distance inside the arch. I'm not sure I would bother, unless its just started to bug me everytime i looked at it. My car needed spacers, I would probably only fork out if they looked like this. zebedy Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 yes, for the cost, just do it. You obviously have doubts or is bugging you because you've posted it up on here, so yep ! Quote
350zedd Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Yes, I would fit them if you're on a budget. However, I dont like the idea of spacers so I bought new wheels to fill the arches instead. 1 Quote
Juggalo Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Waste of money. A mod with no practical benefit, and is so subtle as be aesthetically pointless. / 2 cents. 1 Quote
bamdc2 Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Yes. I had Eibach spacers and no issues with handling at all and filled those huge arches better. Money wise, depends on what you think is a lot. I didn't mind spending £200, plus you could always sell them on pretty easy to other members. 1 Quote
Jp606 Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Waste of money. A mod with no practical benefit, and is so subtle as be aesthetically pointless. / 2 cents. This and it will ruin the handling. 1 Quote
davey_83 Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 The fact that you even need to ask means yes you do. 15's just maybe 1 Quote
MIGWEL Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Am i wrong in thinking that if the wheel is spaced out more .. the end result is more road dirt is flicked up the side of the car. If so then i wouldnt this time of year Quote
ilogikal1 Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 But everyone will say yes, so I'm probably wrong. Lies!! On both points. To the OP; need? No. Your wheels will work perfectly well without spacers. Quote
Stutopia Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Nahhh, if you want some pretty, arch filling wheels, buy some 19s with the right offset. Otherwise save the weight and keep the speed and agility Quote
