  1. One that works, usually. JDM or UK car?
  2. Both about as exciting as a limp parsnip, so no harm done
  3. Wear and axle Saw a GT3 parked in the parent & child space at Tesco yesterday
  4. So back to my original questions then, which seem to have been missed: 1. What currency do you think you'll end up with, and how will you negate the downsides? 2. How do you intend to remain part of Europe, when you have no idea if you'll be allowed in or not? 3. Is Scotland still as rich when the oil is gone? If not, where will your income cone from to make up the shortfall?
  5. I'd take them to court over that, personally. Their Ts&Cs can't help them if they're using unfair terms, which I would humbly suggest this clearly is.
  6. Aw man, I thought we were friends If we, as a country, spent a few years holding back the donations we gave to other countries and the less important charities (awful term, but you know what I mean) and put that cash into the state coffers for the NHS, I believe we could pretty much get it completely sorted. Assuming, of course, we had the people in place to manage it properly. Which we don't.

    NEW Jaguar XJ

    That's the XJLWB, I suspect.
  8. You're all reading this the wrong way. This is no different than if you lend your car to someone else, which is effectively what happened here. Forget the fact the new owner paid for the bike, technically it was still insured under the original policy and as such that will always remain the policy in force, if there is no other one available. As such, that insurer is responsible for paying out in an accident to all third parties involved, and since the policy holder broke the terms of the policy then they are completely right to come after him for the money. Is it a harsh lesson? No doubt. Is it the right thing to do? I'm not sure. Are they justified in doing do? Absolutely. Why did he not cancel the policy? Why did he not check the other guy had insurance? Why did he not ask to see his licence? This could've been so easily avoided. One guy here was a criminal, but the other was a fool.
  9. Best way to learn car control is in the wet with all systems off Were car and driver okay?
  10. You wouldn't notice any difference, not in a single tankful. You'll notice the fewer pounds in your pocket though
  11. Think I must be more drunk than I thought!
  12. Steve, it was about Ekona and SMD saying they wish they had a 370ZN ... honestly You can laugh, I very well might end up with one as my next car if it's any good
  13. Cheaper. 99% of the public don't think further than today, hence buying a £25k Golf diesel rather than a £10k Zed and £15k worth of fuel
  14. The TTRS has a lot of electronics doing clever things, at least as sophisticated as the GTR. Certainly helps it punch above its weight.
  15. Having driven a single turbo Zed back to back with the 911, at fast road speeds they're definitely comparable in performance, up to a point. They're both just so different to drive though, one is a hooligan and one more precise. Both bloody great on the right roads though
  16. Why Dan? Are you a NA man at heart? Pretty much, yeah. Never used to be, but the Zed convinced me that that's the kind of engine I really enjoying working hard. Always room for a good bit of FI though, in the right application: I couldn't imagine our old Impreza as an NA!
  17. If they'd have fitted a turbo to the 350 as standard, I'd never have bought one.
  18. Try Costco, their parking spaces are huge
  19. But that implies that parents should ONLY park there, which they don't. They park everywhere, so really they're no use at all. It's a marketing thing, more than anything.
  20. Have a read of their long-termer, they grew to love it in the end.
  21. Apologies, I assumed your complete lack of acknowledgement meant that you'd given up. Good on you for carrying on, what's the goal?
  22. Yeah, I think so too. I think it's a shame that Stevo isn't up for carrying in it on given that this is the most positive thread we've seen on here for ages, but I guess it's his choice. Hopefully he won't put all the weight back on, that would be a massive shame.
  23. @SMD: Agreed. I'd like to live with one for a bit, to see if the performance can make it feel special, but I'm not willing to punt £25K to find out.
  24. I'd happily have one as a DD. For me, they look a bit too similar to a standard TT to feel really special. In terms of performance though, they'll nail pretty much anything. As the video above shows, they are GT-R quick.
  25. Hear hear, well said that man! *awaits Chesterfield to come along*
