  1. At least he can't blame his slow interweb connection!
  2. The closest refinery will supply them. Doesn't matter who owns it.
  3. Actually, I should clear up that the driver in that vid was an utter tool and deserves to have their licence removed permanently. My last post read more about me apportioning blame to the biker, which wasn't right.
  4. Any ideas what the driver was prosecuted for? I couldn't see in that article. Silly, silly biker. Not necessarily for the speeds he was doing, or even the location (although overtaking on hatched areas or where they're around is just asking for trouble), but why would you record yourself speeding? I don't get that at all. As far as most bikers round here, and I think I said this the other day, most of them are fine. I give space, they give me a leg wave (which I love!), and all is well. And then there's the pillocks who do 100mph on the dual carriageway, come flying up behind you and then split between you when you're passing another vehicle, just at the point when I'm about to indicate and move over for them they come flying up the inside. Utter morons. Filtering is fine, splitting at crazy speeds is not.
  5. Not sure I still see it as a problem. If you know you're right, then they're just going to look silly in court and 99% of them wouldn't take the risk.
  6. How many miles have you driven it in that time? Have you actually gotten any pleasure from the ownership experience in terms of driving, or is it just nice to look at?
  7. Cars should be driven, not kept in storage. Flog it and take the cash.
  8. It makes zero difference, really. As long as the fuel is to the correct BS number, which anything above 97 will be, then you'll get more difference from fresh 97 than stale 99.
  9. Of course they do, it's with the DVLA. They take you to court, and if your car was imported then the DVLA will know: If it was, then you have your defence right there.
  10. Oh I absolutely agree, if Scotland vote for independence I wish them all the best, it would be great to see a country with as proud a tradition become successful in their own right
  11. Have you seen the interior shots? That gearshift just looks absolutely perfect in terms of height and shape. SNICK SNICK
  12. SO MUCH WANT That's going to be amazing, as long as the electric steering isn't completely sh*t. With a lovely high-revving 2L lump in there, that's going to be a beauty of a car.
  13. Welcome to the future I'm still well into AC4, which I picked up last weekend now it's £40 not £54.
  14. The United Kingdom would still exist: Things didn't change when Ireland left in, did it? Article 49 says that all member states have to agree to the use of Article 48, which it's pretty unlikely that the UK would do. Spain wouldn't either, given the Basque situation. I cannot understand why the Yes campaign STILL carries on with insisting that they're keeping the pound. The three main political parties have already said no to this, so insisting it will still happen is madness. I agree that it remains a possibility, but then so does the fact that Westminster might actually follow through and take a few years pain if Scotland doesn't then pay off its share of the debt to spite. I've still yet to see any figures about Scotland's finances minus the oil. Do they exist? Just for the sake of the argument, let's pretend the following: 1. You don't get to keep the GBP. 2. You don't get automatic entry into Europe. Would you still vote yes?
  15. As close to the truth as anything I've heard from from the Yes camp.
  16. One that works, usually. JDM or UK car?
  17. Both about as exciting as a limp parsnip, so no harm done
  18. Wear and axle Saw a GT3 parked in the parent & child space at Tesco yesterday
  19. So back to my original questions then, which seem to have been missed: 1. What currency do you think you'll end up with, and how will you negate the downsides? 2. How do you intend to remain part of Europe, when you have no idea if you'll be allowed in or not? 3. Is Scotland still as rich when the oil is gone? If not, where will your income cone from to make up the shortfall?
  20. I'd take them to court over that, personally. Their Ts&Cs can't help them if they're using unfair terms, which I would humbly suggest this clearly is.
  21. Aw man, I thought we were friends If we, as a country, spent a few years holding back the donations we gave to other countries and the less important charities (awful term, but you know what I mean) and put that cash into the state coffers for the NHS, I believe we could pretty much get it completely sorted. Assuming, of course, we had the people in place to manage it properly. Which we don't.

    NEW Jaguar XJ

    That's the XJLWB, I suspect.
  23. You're all reading this the wrong way. This is no different than if you lend your car to someone else, which is effectively what happened here. Forget the fact the new owner paid for the bike, technically it was still insured under the original policy and as such that will always remain the policy in force, if there is no other one available. As such, that insurer is responsible for paying out in an accident to all third parties involved, and since the policy holder broke the terms of the policy then they are completely right to come after him for the money. Is it a harsh lesson? No doubt. Is it the right thing to do? I'm not sure. Are they justified in doing do? Absolutely. Why did he not cancel the policy? Why did he not check the other guy had insurance? Why did he not ask to see his licence? This could've been so easily avoided. One guy here was a criminal, but the other was a fool.
