  1. Sorry, I didn't mean it like that! I just think if you don't have any details, I wouldn't waste precious time on trying to find a key when it'll be better long term just to get another one.
  2. As long as you're under about 85%LTV, you should be okay to borrow enough. If you're over that, then don't even bother looking any further, as interest rates will be crippling.
  3. You may not need planning permission at all: You can build an extension without up to a certain limit. Check the .gov pages for a lot of info on this.
  4. Make sure you confirm that you can build an extension there first, before you get too far down the road. /VOE
  5. New one is due to start filming next year.
  6. Meh, same thing happened to my tow eye cover on the rear when I pulled a sticker off I'd put on for LM. 2 year old car, covered under warranty. I suspect some cars had some seriously dodgy paint from factory.
  7. Exactly. The man breathed fresh air into the best sci fi franchise, something I wasn't sure should be done, so imagine what he can do for the second best
  8. Tbh if your wife relies on transport that much, then a RWD is the wrong vehicle to own. Either a cheapy 4x4 or even a FWD hatch will be infinitely better. Winter tyres help in snow, but they're not a catch all saver: You need the right car in the first place. Winter tyres are a softer compound by design, you'll always wear them quicker. Quicker wear = need to replace more often = extra cost. Not trying to knock anyone's choice here, I can appreciate that those in the north can definitely benefit from them, they're just not for me.
  9. At £55k it was a bargain, at £85k it's really not.
  10. Lack of feel, increased wear on a day like today, extra cost?
  11. I suspect you're going to really, really struggle. Who have you tried so far? You might try A-Plan, they've mirrored a good amount of NCB for me in the past albeit not commercial. As for staying as a trader, I guess you just need to fulfil the conditions of the insurance for it to be valid. What does it specify?
  12. Toyo don't say that any more, they're good up to -9c They're not sketchy in the winter at all, except on ice where no tyre is any good*. They're rated B-C for wet grip too, which is better than the T1-R and the same as the new T1 Sport. I'm being a tad facetious here, as of course they definitely have their limits, but as long as you drive to the conditions then they're fine. But yeah, this is about winter tyres not R888s. I can understand why some folks use them, especially in the north, but anywhere south of Birmingham I don't see them as a necessity. *Unless it has spikes in it, or chains around it.
  13. Nope, never have done. R888s throughout the winter on the MR2, never had an issue.
  14. I've clamped round headrests, sun visors, slightly rolled down side windows, basically anything I can get the clamp round!
  15. They're clamping down on those two, I wouldn't be surprised if they were outlawed this year by most TDOs.
  16. Thanks guys! DCS don't sell any old that, and if you're not sure what you're after just give them a call: They're possibly the nicest and most helpful bunch of guys I've spoken to.
  17. Just read it, knew it! Nice write up too Daryl, looking good there matey and I approve of your choice of Evo car
  18. So in practicality, what would happen if you wait until he goes out then change the locks? Obviously he'd need his stuff back which would be packed neatly in boxes for him in a safe place, but really what would happen at that point? This isn't an area I'm familiar with so I'm genuinely curious. Would he be able to call on the police for immediate assistance, or go straight to the courts, or what? In theory I'm sure he has legal recourse, but reality can be a bit different.
  19. Now that's how a Nismo should look. Accentuate the shape, don't ruin it. Lovely looking car there fella
  20. It is an easy answer. You have a £25,000 sports coupe, parts aren't going to be peanuts. Sometimes you really just do need more money to buy things. Sad fact of life.
  21. Did anyone read the text, or just the headline? "The DVSA said drivers may instead be asked to focus on more realistic everyday manoeuvres, such as reversing out of a parking bay, or re-joining the flow of traffic from the side of a road." So yes they're CONSIDERING removing the three point turn (which I admit I'd like to see stay) and the reverse round a corner (who even does that?!), but instead they MAY put things in like reversing out of a bay (which would save all those scratches and dents you get in car parks) and rejoining the road (meaning you don't get someone pull out in front of you doing 20mph). Surely that is a good thing? Or do we really want the test to stay exactly the same without any thought to how driving is evolving over the years? Nobody wanted the theory test when it came in, there were comments made about people then not really concentrating on the actual driving bit, but I think we can all agree that it's now a success in terms of driving education.
  22. No. Just... No. Why do you think you need different suspension? What are you trying to achieve? The easy answer here is to double your budget and get a set of the BC Racing BR:RS springs and dampers. Cheap suspension just ruins a car, and tbh no-one's going to sell any aftermarket suspension for your budget unless it's shot. Also, you already have coilovers on the front
