I'd be walking now and considering myself lucky. I wouldn't want to be associated with something like that. Seriously mate, put a run together on here over a long weekend on the same route for the same budget, and I bet you'd have a better time.

Next year I'm taking the day off and I'm just going to go and film these people. Must be amazing to watch such an atmosphere. Why the staff didn't just shut the tills and refuse to serve anyone who was acting like a tit, I don't know. Or they could've given out vouchers to people in the queue who wanted a TV to redeem, first come first serve.

You get what you pay for and all that, I guess. Shame, but then I suppose that's why it's so cheap if they're not giving you half the stuff.
-
Eeeep! That doesn't sound good at all.

Hopefully better than the Marbella one, which has an empty page on the video section on the website, and the photos aren't exactly of anything better than cars parked up. Oh, there is no blog of the last rally up either. There's more pics of the press than the cars at the celeb party! I dunno man, I don't wanna p*ss on your chips on this one I really don't, but this doesn't scream a quality tour to me.

My exact thoughts. I don't think I'd want to be involved with a company like that, much less someone who has a website littered with mistakes. Still, I like to be proved wrong with things like this, so hopefully you'll have a blast mate

50mpg real world isn't going to happen very often, unless you live on the motorway sat at 60mph. Even the decent diesels (thinking the BMW 2l in something small like the 118d) will see maybe 45mpg on the combined cycle. Work on a figure of 40-45, that way if you do get better then you're laughing. If money is the priority then I'd be looking at Fords or Vauxhalls tbh, as they're going to be cheaper to maintain than any premium brand. A Focus mk2 is a bloody good steer.

Came *this close* to getting the JL 60" telly they've got up for sale for the spare room. Just can't quite justify that, plus I want a 75" for the lounge so I'll wait for Boxing Day then shift the current 55" to the spare room instead. But yeah, if you want a good size TV then £999 for 60" is the veritable bargain.

Advice needed: building a pair of 350Z endurance racers
Ekona replied to ShorsecRacingBen's topic in 350Z General
@Tricky: It does? Well, there you go, I never knew that. Every day's a school day! -
Ah yes, forgot it comes in 1L bottles! Just get 2L then, this stuff lasts for years if it's unopened anyway

I'd be happy enough if I could just raise a smile -
Think it's more like a litre, so I'd be getting 1.5L just in case.

If a car is tracked, I'd strongly suggest changing the brake fluid on an annual basis, so I reckon yours is well passed it's best. I would strongly recommend the ATE Super Blue fluid. I've switched to that from the RBF600 then the 660, and it's fabulous stuff. Boiling point is near as dammit as good as the Motul, but it's about half the price so you can afford to change it twice as often I wouldn't have thought the worn rears would be causing you this problem.

Might want to just change your font size a bit Ben, your posts are coming out very small and hard to read -

Hi Ben, Great idea, hopefully all the members here will get behind this too In answer to your questions: 1. On an early DE engine car (which is where I presume budget will dictate you start from), with the right bits you might get as high as 310bhp, but anything over that you're going to struggle without FI. Any of the SC or FI setups could see you comfortably at 360, although it's not impossible that you'd get more than that on even the most basic setup. If you could get a later HR engined car then I reckon you'd get to nearer 340. Of course with either engine you could go crazy with cams etc but then you may sacrifice reliability. 2. You could get down to close to 1200kg I should think, if you're going for a full strip. Couple of chaps on here would have a better idea than me (MrLizard, Bizz, Keyser, Zmanalex?) 3. I believe you can safely chop away the bits you don't want, the 350Z isn't a canbus setup so go crazy! 4. On a road car you'd lose a little torque with a decat setup and NA, but on a race car you'll be at high rpms so no probs there. With decats and a straight through exhaust you'd be over the limit, so a single in-line carbon bike siliencer should work, or anything like that you'd wish to use. 5. No kits that I'm aware of. Personally I'd go with the KW V3 springs and dampers, Eibach ARBS, and some camber/toe correction arms too. Bang for buck, I don't think there's much out there to touch that setup even if you started spending silly money. Proven and reliable, too. -
What a beautiful colour Didn't realise that the EDC was an option on these cars, ironically that's something I would try to avoid to avoid expensive repair bills in the future.

Yeah, still need more info. So you did this via the MIB, correct? And this went to court, and your final payout from them was £2800? Why did you not use your own insurance company, or an accident management company? Did the MIB handle directly or use an AMC?
-
If you want to waste your money then go ahead, but I see absolutely no benefit to spending more money on something like that. A standard alternator will be perfectly fine
-
Snake oil. The last thing you want is an alternator you cannot rely on, and one that only charges half the time and relies on an electrical signal is not one I would trust.

All bucket seats are not the same. I would STRONGLY recommend you sit in any ones you're thinking about buying before shelling out for them, as some are much more comfortable than others. Budget doesn't always help either, as I've sat in some £800 seats that weren't anywhere near as comfy as my cheapy Sparco Sprint ones.

If you're doing the clutch, definitely do the flywheel too as it makes a huge difference having a lightweight one on these cars

That's slightly creepy. -
My god, the delay between him asking for an upshift and actually getting one...!
