  1. Proper car, proper spec, proper nice. Good choice my friend
  2. Out of the two, the wolf. I've never seen the point in spending fortunes on making cars look good when they're bone stock underneath.
  3. Craig's list? I see what you did there!
  4. I bought an M3 after my Zed. Less than 12hrs later I decided it wasn't for me so I got a 911 instead. Ironically I now really want one again!
  5. They can't help the weather when doing the photos! Car looks fine, but I'd want details of the servicing as well as to know it's only been run on 97+ fuel in the current owner's hands. As always, full inspection needed really.
  6. I'll take her number, she sounds amazing!
  7. Yeah, I'll have that one as well, although for me it wasn't just taking it flat (that's easy in an MR2 with no power!) it was the first time I went up it on a sighting lap: Proper spine tingling stuff, when you're sat there recalling the duals in F1 etc over the years. Maybe a bit big headed this next one, but another one was this year when me and the lads went to Donington for a trackday for my mate's 40th, and people threw me the keys to their cars to take them out as I knew the track better than they did. To a single man, they all came back in a little bit trembly and commenting that they had no idea how I could go that fast in a car I didn't know. Yes, massive ego boost, but I'd always considered them all to be much quicker and better drivers than me for the 12 years I've known them, and now to be considered as 'the fast one' amongst us was quite a nice feeling. Still not a patch on some you guys on here though, like Brillo and Doc. One day though, one day...
  8. I knocked one of my brother's front teeth out once when we were fighting It wasn't even a proper fight, just scrapping over something silly and I caught him at the wrong angle.
  9. I once did a standing backflip on my bed when I was about 9, and promptly kneed myself in the face. Same day as the school disco, too
  10. I did similar earlier this year, trying to cut some lasagne sheets to shape and the knife slipped:
  11. That's how I see it too. I really like JB as a person, but as a driver he's really not in the top echelons at all despite the championship win. Everyone harks back to Valencia in the wet as proof he's amazing, but that was some very good/lucky judgement calls on the team's behalf to put him on the right tyres at the right time, and relied on Vettel binning it too. I have no idea why everyone seems to think that the Honda engine will suddenly turn a dog of a car into a race winner. Even if it's as good or better than the Merc lump, they are massively inferior on the aero package so would still be at or behind RB and Williams. I would not be remotely surprised if McLaren did not perform any better next year than this. Alonso will have to adjust to a brand new car again, Button will have to learn the car as Alonso is clearly going to have it built for him, and they're both using an engine with zero race miles on it.
  12. Shame, I'd rather KMag was given another go. Still, good luck to JB
  13. I hate Ferrari. Whinging bunch of moaners who think they have a god-given right to be in F1. Also, looks like Button retained his seat.
  14. First time I touched boobs. Her name was Helen, we were 15, and more than a little tipsy. Still utterly brilliant though
  15. I'd be embarrassed if I were Ron or associated with McLaren at all right now. This has been a mockery of a shambles, even for F1.
  16. You'd be done for careless driving, i.e. does the standard of driving fall below that of a reasonable and competent driver. Doing a single move that was the classic undertake is likely to see you pulled. Moving to an empty lane and cruising past a row of cars when you're not breaking the limit may still get you a tug, but you can bet your arse a decent solicitor will argue your case well in a court.
  17. People still jailbreak their phones? How quaint.
  18. Ooh, when I was 11 I ran over some wet grass chasing a mate who was on his bike, slipped and did a full 180deg flip with a half twist mid air. I landed jaw-first onto the nearby patch of concrete. End result was smashing my top two front teeth out, and massively swollen lips. The teeth have been replaced with implants, and the lips never really went down so I now have uber-kissable Jagger lips for life Claret everywhere I tell you, scared the hell out of me as a kid.
  19. FINALLY managed to order my T3PA three-pedal set for the Thrustmaster TX wheel I've got! They've been out of stock pretty much all year but they're currently back in at £89.99 shipped, which isn't too bad I don't think. I'll probably grab the shifter as well once I have the kit setup in the new house, but I'm not sure if I'll use it that much over the paddles. Getting close to the perfect setup now
  20. Well yeah, but it's a brand new car! If you're worried about depreciation you wouldn't do it end of, you'd go buy something that's finished depreciating for cash.
  21. True, but you get the benefits of a brand new car (so less likely to go wrong or at least it'll be covered by warranty), and usually free servicing too. It'll also have better fuel economy than the equivalent used car, so running costs will be cheaper on that side at least. Leasing is always cheaper than financing in terms of the monthly payment, unless you look at a PCP deal but then you have to find a way to finance that as well... Swings and roundabouts to all options. I've never leased myself, but will seriously consider it for the future on the non-fun car.
