  1. Nope sadly not, I gave the MAF a good clean but that didn't make a difference. No idea what's causing it
  2. Ah right I see, maybe just a case of yanking until the original bit comes off then Sorry I can't be of more help!
  3. +1 for Norbar, that's who we mainly use at work (JLR)
  4. I haven't got one myself but pretty sure these are in 2 pieces that screw together and fit over the existing handle.
  5. Holy s**t, bit more than a small crack then! How old are these pipes? And how's the other side holding up?
  6. Ah I see. Thanks, learn something new everyday
  7. Surely it won't affect the speedo at all because you're only changing the width not the rolling radius?
  8. to the forum. HFCs are definitely louder than oem cats, also they're way less restrictive so you've done the right thing there. Changing the Y pipe will probably help the exhaust flow a bit better but I don't think it'll make much difference to the noise or volume. If you don't want to go for a whole system I know a lot of people replace the oem backbox with a pair of short tails and seem to be pretty happy. I think you can get them either resonated or non-resonated too depending how loud you want it
  9. Most likely to be the weatherstrip that runs along the top of the door shut. First thing is do is whip the doorcard off and adjust the angle of the window slightly so it pushes against the seal a bit more.
  10. Did Kwick Fit actually show you the leak? If not they could just be trying to rip you off, they don't have the best reputation.
  11. To get any gain from a plenum spacer on a rev-up you need to combine it with the motordyne MREV2 lower collector (which is basically just an early DE collector with the front 2 "snouts" shaven down).
  12. I'm pretty sure both fans should run when you turn the AC on, it's a common fault for our cars for the motors to pack up because the brushes become seized due to the carbon build up. You've got 3 options really- - Strip the motor down and clean it up (I did this with both mine about 6 months ago and now they're good as new). - Replace the motor (which is stupidly expensive brand new). - Replace the whole fan pack for an aftermarket one (I think a lot of people go for Mishimoto but apparently it's a lot louder than oem which put me off). If you're going to go to the effort of refurbing/replacing one of the motors it's might be worth doing the other one at the same or else sods law it'll fail too a week later or something
  13. Can't remember the seller but I'm sure I paid around £100 which is well worth it in my opinion

    new exhaust needed

In that case there's plenty of choice Personally I've got an invidia gemini system which I love because it looks great, the fitment is spot on and the noise is lovely (but not stupidly loud). I'm sure the guys at Tarmacsportz or @Adrian@TORQEN will be able to give you a few options anyways!
  15. I bought one off ebay a while ago and was pleasantly surprised to find the fitment was spot on

    new exhaust needed

What's your budget? And how loud do you want it?
  17. Easiest/best thing to do is probably get a new set from https://www.sgs-engineering.com They're more expensive than ones off ebay etc but they'll last a lot longer and it'll be a lot less faff than getting your original ones re-gassed. In terms of fitting they're dead easy (only 3 fixings per side) so if you can use a spanner/socket you shouldn't have a problem. Make sure you've got someone to help you or something to prop the boot open though, when I did mine I couldn't believe how fooking heavy the tailgate actually is. Lastly make sure you get the bracket at the bottom of the strut the right way up, seen lots of people fit them upside down which causes it to foul.

  20. Glad to hear you're happy with it! I've got the same exhaust paired with HFCs and for me the volume is just right
  21. The front lip and side steps go very nicely together I agree some spats or something on the rear bumper would finish the car off What's your initial thoughts on the exhaust?
  22. Can't really compare the 2 cars as I've never driven a corsa VXR, but in terms of mods for the Zed some stiffer anti-roll bars would give less body roll so help with cornering. Or if you wanted to try and make a little more power you could do Flyboys airbox mod along with a performance drop in air filter and plenum spacer. Also is your brake fluid standard? Might be a good idea to upgrade that to something that can deal with high temps to prevent it from boiling.
