  1. I'd be wary taking advice from whoever told you that in the future, they obviously don't know what they're on about. They're prone to failing and like Alex has said, the parts don't cost much so it makes total sense replacing them whilst it's all apart.
  2. Did you change the slave cylinder at the same time as the clutch/flywheel? They're prone to failing and cause the pedal to stick down.
  3. I'm sure I read somewhere that the HR and 370z exhausts are interchangable. Could be wrong but I'm sure @Adrian@TORQEN or @Tarmac@TarmacSportz will be able to confirm.
  4. It's usually just the brushes seizing that causes the motor failure, pretty easy to fix yourself with a few basic tools https://www.350z-uk.com/topic/69810-how-to-repairfix-your-cooling-fan-motors-youtube-vid/
  5. I don't know much about the tanabe or blitz but the Ark, injen and invidia are all great shouts in terms of quality and performance, much more so than the cobra you currently have. In terms of sound I'd expect them to all be fairly similar (going by the size of the resonators), but I think the Ark has more of a unique sound due to the helmholtz chambers (which are also meant to reduce drone). If loudness is one of your biggest concerns have you considered the miltek system? It's only slightly louder than oem so sounds a bit tame with oem cats but with the art pipes it might be a nice balance for you. I've got the invidia gemini paired with HFCs and absolutely love it. The quality is fantastic, it sounds great and it's perfect volume for me.
  6. Try firing a PM to @ZMANALEX, he's probably your best bet.
  7. As Keyser has said, you could sand it down if you're confident doing so and the seller agrees to refund you some of your money for the hastle. Or you could just send it back at the sellers expense for a full refund/replacement. Athe end of the day it's arrived damaged and that's not acceptable for something "brand new".

How far are you willing to travel? Ive only heard good things about cougarstore in Leicester. Definitely worth traveling the extra distance to somewhere you can trust.
  9. Front looks really clean but the back looks a bit mismatched seeing as you've got silver, black, chrome and red lettering
  10. He might have one of two lying around if you're lucky. If not then try one of the traders on here like Horsham Developments or Abbey Motorsport, they should be able to give you an idea of installation costs too.
  11. I'm pretty sure it runs off can bus and that's why an auto-fold module won't work like it does with the 350z. @cs2000 makes the modules so might be able to confirm this?
  12. It's a very common issue that only affects the HR models not the DE/Rev-up. Think it costs about £900 all in from one of the reccomended specialists on here (Horsham developments, Abbey motorsports etc). Best to get one of them to do it because I think it's a pretty involved job and they all know their way round VQ35 engines very well.
  13. That looks like the OEM lip which I believe was fitted on all UK spec zeds so no need to declare to insurance.
  14. Get a photo up and I'm sure one of us will be able to help identify it
  15. In that case sounds like it's not AC oil, guessing it must be dripping down from somewhere else
  16. AC systems do have a small amount of oil in so that could be a possibility.. What colour is it? Not 100% sure on our cars but usually refrigerant oil is luminous green (so it can be easily seen with a UV light).
  17. There's an easy solution to that- get rid of the centre caps because they aren't Rays wheels
  18. I'd probably leave it as is because I doubt you'll get the money back (clutch change will cost you nearly 1k if you use oem parts). It wouldn't put me off buying the car as long it had £500 or so knocked off to go towards the cost, plus it gives the new owner the perfect chance to upgrade to a SMF and aftermarket clutch if they want to.
  19. I like to tell myself V power is better than momentum but to be honest the main reason I use it is because both petrol stations are about the same distance away from me but Tesco is always rammed whereas Shell is always quiet. So I can either spend about 20 mins queuing for a pump or 5 mins in and out using fill up & go, which makes the slightly higher price worth it for me.
  20. Yeah can't say I'm very impressed with the new Shell Go+. The member rewards (which weren't much in the first place) seem to have been cut back quite a lot. On the plus side though Shell have taken over the energy company I'm with (First Utility) and I now get 3% off fuel.
  21. Good find indeed, although I think to get the auto function you have to swap the passenger side switch too?
  22. The standard DE can't run multiple maps but the Rev-up and HR can as long as you have the cruise control buttons.
  23. Not an answer to your question but might be helpful- the fan motors on our cars are really prone to failing due to carbon build up on the brushes. By all means check the wiring but it's probably them that's the cause of your issue. It's pretty simple to remove the fan shroud and motors, then you can either replace them or refurb them yourself (pretty straightforward and there's a DIY thread on here somewhere).
