  1. Sorry to hear you've been messed about, real shame you've ended up getting rid of your Z. Will pm you now.
  2. Interested.. Fire me a pm if 4K1R4-350Z doesn't have it!
  3. Which Y pipe have you got at the moment? I don't think an aftermarket one would really change the noise/volume much but you might see some bhp gains if you've got the oem one currently. Have you considered high flow cats? They're about the half way point between oem cats and decats apparently and should be MOT friendly.
  4. Well that was an enjoyable read, welcome to the forum mate Good to see someone so excited to take ownership, and rightly so, the 350z is an awesome car as I'm sure we'll all agree Plus it's always nice to see someone working hard to earn something they've always wanted
  5. As a general rule the thinner the profile of the tyre, the harsher the ride will be because you've got less air to absorb the bumps. So as Jetpilot has said, you'll definitely feel it won't be as smooth over any surface changes. That being said imo the 350z suits 19's perfectly so it's totally worth it
  6. That's from the US though mate so you have to add shipping costs plus 20% import duties sadly. Like Adrian said these are around £1000 new from any UK seller so £850 is already a good price considering its still brand new in the box
  7. Google is your friend, not that difficult to find.. https://h-dev.co.uk/product/h-dev-350z-intake-plenum-spacer-kit-vq35de/?v=79cba1185463 https://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/motordyne-nissan-350z-5-16-basic-plenum-spacer.html
  8. Depends which brand/type you go for but yeah new they're usually between £200-£300 unless you can get a deal or find one secondhand. The idea is that it increases the volume of the intake plenum and provides a better, more equal supply to each cylinder. As it says in the description, they add 10-15bhp so that's entirely up to you whether it's worth it. I take it your car is an early DE? If it's a rev-up you'll need an MREV2 as well to see any gains and if it's a HR then there's no need for a spacer due to the better designed twin intake.
  9. If you've got the oem strut brace then you'll definitely need some washers and longer bolts to space it up else it'll catch on the plenum. I fitted a motordyne one (https://motordyneengineering.com/product/350z-516-iso-thermal-plenum-spacer/) which came with everything needed for a hassle-free installation. Be careful if you decide to buy one without all the kit and do the spacers yourself because if you go too high the strut brace will catch on the bonnet.
  10. The compression rod (banana arm) is the bottom of them 2 pictures
  11. No worries mate fingers crossed they can sort it for you, and bonus that you won't be the one paying the bill!
  12. The butterfly valve only moves one way and you should be able to move it with your fingers, I moved mine all the way when I had it off the car to clean it properly. If you're gonna move it whilst it's still on the car then make sure you disconnect the battery, ECU and throttle body first so you don't upset it.
  13. If you're after brand new then I'm guessing a Nissan dealer would be your best bet, if you don't mind used then
  14. Really gutting to hear about your experience with the dealer mate. I had a brand new fiesta ST before my zed and on 2 occasions it got scratched whilst in possession of a dealer for warranty/servicing so know exactly how you feel, its infuriating After that I learnt 3 things- 1. Unless you absolutely have to, try and avoid going to a dealer. 2. If you can't avoid it then make sure you have a good look around the car with a member of staff before AND after the work so there can't be any doubt when any damage was done. 3. Request that they don't wash your car. The people they're employing to wash your pride and joy are probably on minimum wage so won't give a f**k about it.
  15. As long as it's just a little bit of vibration and no crunching/banging then I wouldn't worry about it. My Zed has the most gear knob vibration of any car I've had but I'm sure I read on here somewhere that Nissan left it like that to enhance the "feel" or something.
  16. Welcome. I'd give these a try first, could be just the butterfly valve in the throttle body just needs reseting- https://h-dev.co.uk/350z-reset-proceedure-pedal-dance/?v=79cba1185463
  17. Dear lord that rear bumper has a lot going on! Not at all to my taste but hey ho guess we're all different and it'd be boring if we weren't Loving your rocketbunny though, paintjob looks ace
  18. RX7? Gorgeous car and prices seem to be going up and up... just ignore the fact it'll probably cost you loads to maintain
  19. Haven't got any experience with window motors but the guy who runs Torqen, @Adrian@TORQEN is a member trader on here so might be worth firing him a message. I've never heard anyone moan about his service so I doubt he'd sell you anything that isn't at least oem quality.
  20. Welcome to the forum, good to hear you're enjoying your Z so far First thing I'd try for the SRS warning is spray some contact cleaner into the connectors under the seats, I think it's quite a common issue for a loose connection cause the light to come on.
  21. Firstly welcome to the forum. Not sure I'll be able to help with all your questions but should be able to give you a bit of info at least.. As the guys have said, there's the original DE, the revised DE Rev up and HR engines. The DE is pre-facelift whereas the Rev up and HR are face-lift so like Rob said they have a better interior, better headlights/taillights and also I think the front bumper is slightly different. I don't think there's any common issues with the DE engine but again as Rob has said oil gallery gaskets are apparently a common failure on HRs and I think some Rev ups consume excessive amounts of oil (I have a rev up and it doesn't use any oil at all). I don't think there's really any reason to pick a convertible or coupe other than personal preference whether you want a roof or not Not so sure on colours, mine's silver which im pretty sure is one of the most common. If you have a look round the forum you should be able to find plenty of pics of all the different ones. Some people get hung up on the extra £250/year tax for 06+ cars but in the grand scheme of running one of these cars that's peanuts, I wouldn't let that influence your decision at all. Aside from the GT pack and birdview sat nav I think the only other major optional extras were a Nismo bodykit and wheels (Not 100% sure on this though, happy to be corrected). There's plenty of stock 350s about so you shouldn't have any trouble finding one if that's what your after. If you plan on modifying it yourself though may be worth trying to find one with your desired mods already done, could save you a lot of cash. Replacement parts both OEM and aftermarket are readily available from plenty of places and most of them are reasonably priced, you have to keep in mind though the Z is a sports car so parts are always going to be a bit more expensive. If you go for a reputable brand I would've thought aftermarket stuff will be at least as good as oem. I wouldn't get too hung up on mileage, much better to have a higher mileage well looked after car than a neglected lower mileage one. Clutches are consumable at the end of the day so again wouldn't worry about that too much, however rust can be a problem so definitely a good idea to have a really good look round the car, in all the arches and underneath if possible. Prices can vary anything from 5k for a DE to 10k for a HR depending on condition, mileage etc. Ebay, autotrader, pistonheads, gumtree. All good places to look. Don't be afraid to travel some distance to find a good example. Can't think of any other expenses you haven't already mentioned.
  22. Oops sorry guess I've been proven wrong Would've recommended you Adrian if I knew you sold them! Not that it really makes much difference but isn't that the US version of the boot mat?
  23. Someone on here is selling a genuine Nissan cargo net so if you're not bothered about it being second hand you may be in luck, I found genuine boot mats and cargo nets are near impossible to source in this country if you're after brand new. On the other hand if you're not bothered about them being genuine there's a few cheaper options on sites like ebay.
