  1. To revive an old thread...are used actuators still available? Cheers.
  2. Thanks, I've always been suspicious of "fluids for life" though, I'd prefer a long life as opposed to a trans change!
  3. Does anyone know if dexron v1 is similar? Looking to do a gearbox fluid and filter change and can only find matic s fluid in litre sizes.car has done 72k with no record of a change.all is well with transmission at the moment just preventative maintenance. Cheers.
  4. Update,I have replaced both cam sensors with decent oem ones and problem solved.....for a while. The car ran perfectly then next time out didn't feel right.seems to have lost power/throttle response,my previous touch the gas and it's gone was gone! Any heavy acceleration now needs kick down....I'm assuming tps sensor? Gas pedal just seems not right so would a reset be the way to go? Thanks for any advice in advance.
  5. Thanks that was my thoughts too or crank sensor.took it out today in the hope of throwing a code but getting a bit too hesitant to take far.
  6. Adding on to an older thread here with the same problem.... 2004 fairlady, after the car has warmed up and comes off choke/enrichment it throws up a cel and trc slip light.if on the road it loses power for a second if idling stalls and is slow to restart. I've done a scan with jobd and no codes stored.pretty sure it's not a trc problem as it will still occur with trc switched off.any thoughts much appreciated!
  7. Thanks,I was wondering which other Nissan used the fairlady brakes.
  8. Thanks that's really useful info for all fairlady owners.I think I've eventually managed to free the sticky piston but plan to rebuild the rear calipers asap.
  9. I have a stuck rear brake caliper on my 2004 fairlady z.single piston non brembo (akebono?) calipers. Does anybody know a part number for the rear caliper or a rebuild kit? Thanks.
  10. Plastic passenger side front liner wanted.
  11. Wanted 350z rear spoiler oem or whatever.
  12. Having gone through a few posts on search....I'm changing the battery on my 2004 fairlady. Car has UK battery posts and I'm going for a Bosch s4,the procedure as I understand it is doors unlocked and windows down.replace battery and close windows holding buttons for 3 seconds to reset? The car has a sterling alarm/immobiliser if that has any bearing? Any advice welcome.
  13. Thanks for the replies all.I may be staying with 18s,I was suprised how comfy my car is ride wise and don't want to ruin it.my back problems are many with various discs doing their own thing over the years eventually leading to fibromyalgia.
  14. I'm finding conflicting info on this, currently on standard 18s with 45 profile tyres.if I switch to 19s with 35 profile is the ride going to drastically change for the worse? (Bad back sufferer).
