  1. I'm sure somewhere in the owners manual there's a way to change it between 1 or 2 stage unlocking using the fob..
  2. What a great tutorial! Just saved myself nearly £400 for 2 new motors by repairing the old ones following this guide
  3. Think the pre-facelifts have HID low beam but halogen high beam, whereas face-lift has HIDs for both?
  4. Nope it doesn't have one I'm afraid, so the only way to turn it off it is to pull the fuse which will disable the whole SRS system.
  5. Great thread, good to hear all your hard work paid off
  6. I think it's just luck really as to exactly when they fail, but sooner or later they will so keep that in mind. If you're looking at a car which hasn't had them done then I'd definitely try using that to negotiate the price seeing as it's an £800 repair. Might not work but gotta be worth a try!
  7. Both good choices but I'd go for the gemini because it's a true dual whereas the miltek isn't. From what I've heard I think the miltek is quieter but the invidia isn't overly loud either.

    New Wings

For that price considering they're a bolt on part I'd just buy a replacement oem one either new or used. Bonus if you can find one that's already painted in the right colour. For preowned parts your best bet is probably to
  9. Pre and post face-lift?

    RE050 Ecopia.

Hmm maybe not then I'd say its still worth checking but I guess that's a bit difficult unless you can borrow a couple of wheels/tyres

    RE050 Ecopia.

^ I suspect this ^ How worn are your fronts? I've not got the same tyre sizes as you but when I first bought my Zed I replaced the rear tyres and had the same issue when sometimes going around long sweeping corners around 50-70mph. The issue turned out to be the difference in rolling radius between the front and rear wheels (the rear tyres were brand new whereas the fronts were pretty low). This was upsetting the traction control which must be pretty sensitive on the Zed. I swapped out the fronts too and haven't had the issue since
  12. Bloody hell that's shocking Looks new as well? I'd only expect to see something like that come off a car that's had a serious corner impact
  13. For parts and advice your best bet is probably to As for where to take the car for the work guess it depends where you're based?
  14. Put me down on the list please if this does happen
  15. Popular opinion is that the best setup for performance is what you have now, the oem airboxes are actually really well designed for airflow and don't attract a lot of heatsoak so a decent drop in filter is all that's needed. That said, lots of people do swap them out for proper CAI kits just for the noise or engine bay bling so it's just personal preference really, don't pay too much attention to the claimed bhp increase figured because they're mostly just nonsense
  16. to the forum. The 350z is a fantastic car and I absolutely love mine but I'm not sure I'd recommend it as a first car mainly due to the fact they're RWD and pretty powerful so you could end up in a bad situation if you haven't got a bit of experience. How old are you exactly? Like Glen said I can imagine if you're 17/18 with 0 years NCB then insurance is going to be massive, I'd guess around £4000+ Plus you've also gotta factor in running cost like tax, fuel, parts etc none of which are cheap. If you've got the money and you're sure you can handle it then I'm sure you won't be disappointed if you buy one anyways. They're great fun to drive, sound amazing and really look the part in my opinion
  17. I thought they were all the same but maybe not! Apparently the face-lift lights are all Bi-Xenon but the pre-facelift lights can either be half Xenon/half halogen or fully halogen. I'm not sure what determines which sort they'll be, guessing it'll either be trim level or which country the car was made for. I'm sure someone who knows more than me will chime in shortly
  18. If they're oem they'll be the pre-facelift xenons. Got any pics to confirm? I've attached 2 pics: the top one is face-lift Bi-Xenon which came in 2006 and the bottom one is pre-facelift Xenon. Hope that helps
  19. Whereabouts are you based mate? I've got a decent quality ebay one that I no longer need since I managed to find a genuine one. You can have it for free if you don't mind collecting from Banbury.

  21. Around £400 if the car hasn't already got an UpRev license
  22. Ah must've seen it on here then not on FB, cheers. Strange that ad was only posted 15 hours ago
  23. Browsing gumtree as you do I came across this 350z which I swear I saw someone post on the FB group a few days ago with the exact same photo. Had a look back through the posts on there but either I'm imagining it or it's been deleted! Seems a bit odd to me anyways. Guess the buyer could have had a change in circumstances, or maybe they found there's something seriously wrong with the car and they want to get rid. https://www.gumtree.com/p/nissan/nissan-350z-nismo-modified-on-off-bargain/1297254046
