Headlight / washer bottle reservoir. You have two, one in each corner of the front bumper Hi and welcome
-
Not much of an update or my extreme modifying ways as I'd probably like, trying to keep this one as sensible as possible at least for the time being. But, I finally tackled a job that's been on my list and that was to replace the front red lower trims on the front bumper My originals were probably fine by mosts standards but did have several large stone chips so with the relatively cheap replacements it was time to get them on. What an arse of a job! You have to remove the under-tray, and then the lower part of each arch liner to get into each corner. Each garnish is held in place with three self tapping screws. You can see the colour difference clearly above And done, a noticeable difference My next modification will be an exhaust. Which exhaust however is proving difficult to choose. Currently stuck between Invidia N1 ARK grip Greedy Evolution Each has there pros and cons and for the cost involved has to be gotten right. Having watched what feels like every video on YouTube it seems like not many have fitted full systems to nismos

I wouldnt say there's anything particularly glaring there or to worry about. One side does seem to be running leaner then the other but how much so will be anyone's guess. The oil on the plugs is a fairly common 350z trait, the spark plug seals have failed on top of the valve cover. As far as I'm aware these are non serviceable items so it's time for new valve covers. ZmanAlex can help with these I'm sure you do, but always try to run premium fuel and regular oil changes (I did mine every 6K). That's best practice for maintaining your 350z. They're normally pretty bomb proof if looked after

You will have an intermittent fault with one of the sensors causing the system to not activate. My guess is brake pedal switch
-
Is that aftermarket LED light smaller then the original?
-
They don't fit MK2 Nismos sadly without minor modification, due to the different diff. Not impossible but it hurts the wallet having to modify an already expensive exhaust I had the Injen SeS on my 350z, can recommend it was a great sounding exhaust. Nice and deep, with a distinctive noise to it. Shame it fitted like garbage though and was left high and dry by injen / torqen so would advise caution
-
Injen SES Invidia Gemini Motordyne Shockwave Ark grip V2 Those are my 4 choices, with ideally the ark grip wanted the most, however if you have a 370z nismo it won't fit without modification as the diff is different

Mine does this, will be silky smooth then out of nowhere the valve starts operating and it so noticeable. You can actually feel it through the valve opening and closing. Daft question, but what does the valve actually do?
-
I wouldn't worry too much, I also suffer this. Engine will sound silky smooth but when the valve starts working it sounds awful. You can actually feel the valve opening / closing in rhythm with the noise

4 days off meant another cleaning session before being left to break numerous necks as people walked by

350z or 370z?
-
Surprised no-one has managed the BMW M4 wheels. Probably my favorite wheel, and it's OEM!
-
I've used millers for years and never had any issues, on the previous 350z and now the nismo hence my recommendation. I think you'll be just fine personally These engines aren't over delicate, just good fuel and regular oil changes and they're practically bomb proof.
-
Do we have any idea of cost? This is something I want to do on my Nismo for the simple reassurance of keeping an eye on it Perhaps the possibility of a group buy?
-
Not quite for the MOT as an advisory, but any garage worth half their salts will ask this, its not uncommon for most people to combine service and mot so it only means one visit a year. Obviously it means a higher turnover that day for the garage and one visit for the customer I've seen it alot of the last year people moving out of line and choosing not to service due to low miles
-
If you're going to go to those lengths you might as well get a plate flipper and the bumper holes filled. Nothing worse then seeing a relocated plate and two great holes in the bumper

That mot station / tester is about to have a very rough couple of days haha. As I said the ministry take this very seriously so they're going to get a random spot check and every bit of paperwork gone through. I wouldnt worry about the squeaks and groans so much, 350s and 370s are probably one of the least refined "sports cars" on the market. So feedback all adds to the experience
-
You've never seen an MOT tester or garage be threatened by the ministry then. I can guarantee one anonymous phone call is all it would take and they would @*!# their pearly panties. The ministry take this kind of thing very, very seriously. Its not the one that's the issue, it's the many. And they would do an immediate on the spot site check

Worthing mate, couple of us down here if you want to come down, Covid allowing we used to have regular meet ups in the Hassocks area
-
I'm down in West Sussex if you fancy a meander down to the Coast. Not after any form of payment, would be just nice to talk to someone who isn't a work colleague
-
We've covered that under our Honda warranties, Nissan do have a reputation for being bellends with there warranties
-
I used some silicone spray on mine, lubed the struts then opened / closed a couple times which worked a charm. Nearly takes my head off now if I'm not careful
-
If you're really going to go after a 370z then I would suggest saving as much and for as long as you can, as they only really got better with time. As example I'm reasonably confident in saying most 2015 cars had all issues ironed out. As for dealers, the one notorious one to avoid that I know of is Junction 17 cars. Avoid them like covid 19. Depending on where abouts in the south east you are, I'm worthing so you are welcome to have a nose around my Nismo if you want to get an idea before you visit a dealer

That is a very good point, and normally I might have said yes. My only thought would be if its been extremely cold in your area, the fuel would've been denser and maybe unable to evaporate. Perhaps a rise in temperature has then allowed it to clear? Hypothetically speaking of course, I've never known electrical gremlins like that to just disappear. There is always a root cause
