It's these door switches that tell the windows to drop upon opening. These could have a dirty contact, mispositioning or folded over themselves as one of mine did.

Evening fella. Great choice of car and welkom back. Local car club meets tend to pick up again around March weather permitting, but who knows what the weathers about. For regular car meets its good to check in Facebook pages, but be careful as police can shut these down as they often don't have the land owners permission to host meets.
