  1. I would have thought with that much oil use it would have been like the Red Arrows on display ....
  2. Shame it wasn`t Virgin laying cables and you were going to get 200Mbps!
  3. if you're in a national, on a dual there's no laws as to how quickly you get to that 70 limit... As with all things there's a time and a place, little bit of a play pulling away from traffic lights is fine, wouldn't be bothered with kids in hot hatches but something like a cayman which deserves a bit of appreciation then why not! Because your insurance instantly becomes void when racing on the highway perhaps?
  4. Even better ! It`s a GT Edition .....
  5. If you declare that it has factory fitted security to obtain the insurance and then disable said security I would very much think the insurance company will care if they find out about it and can save themselves some money on a payout.
  6. Looks like there`s an option to just cancel the upgrade with the notification.
  7. I think the only time that your estimate of a cars value would be taken into consideration is on an agreed value policy or if you had already notified them of expensive modifications which they had agreed to cover, otherwise, as above, they will only pay out market value regardless of what you thought or had declared it was worth. I dare say, though, that if you ring them they will happily charge you an admin fee for noting your call whilst not providing any extra cover ....
  8. No. Flyboy (I think it was) produced one for the 350 but said it wasn`t possible on the 370.
  9. There are newer ones without Sat Nav. Sat Nav was only fitted as standard on the GT from about late 2013 or from 2014. When I got mine in March 2013 it was an extra cost option which brought it up to about the same price as the GT Edition which had it fitted as standard so one reason I got the GT Edition.
  10. Bit of a drive from Essex to Leigh. (near Wigan)
  11. But not if they win the case and the judge awards them the costs too which you then have to also pay.
  12. I seem to remember reading recently that a recent change in the law means they cannot enforce a fine/charge for the first 10mins of any overstay. (think it was 10 mins).
  13. I have to hold my hands up and say that I know next to nothing about the pros and cons of being in the EU and if I vote will only be able to do so based on what I have heard about or perceive to be the benefits of leaving. ie, the ridiculous laws and regulations imposed upon us, stopping the health tourism, immigration, the free-for-all access to our benefits system, paying so much into the EU, etc. For these things, to me, you can easily see why we don`t need them; EU laws, yes it might be easy to show why tyre markings are good but there was no attempt at justification for the bananas .. I think it`s widely acknowledged that there has been many cases of people heading over to the UK for the free treatment that they cant get/afford in their own country. I really don`t know if or why we need so many migrant workers (that we`re always being told we do) whilst having so many unemployed in this country already that should be given the opportunity/made to work for a living. The sceptic in me believes it`s a lot to do with what employers can get away with employing them rather than a UK worker, or, it`s just become the cheap and easy option as opposed to traditionally taking on someone new and training them to do a job. I accept we may be short of some specialists but again wonder why is that? Because the cheaper option is not to train them ourselves? I wonder what is the ratio of those here and working for a living compared to those here just living off the state without any previous contribution to it? I am also of the camp that we get nothing for nothing and we have already paid for any monetary benefits or the like that we have received back from the EU. So far I see the only benefit of staying which keeps being mentioned on here is trade agreements which I expect really just translates to more money to be made for those in the business of trading. I know if their costs go up we pay more but I suspect it is far more about increased profits for them rather than cheaper prices for us. Seems to me that every country and his dog wants to, and has now been allowed to join but I wonder if for those with very little to offer it`s just a way to benefit off of those countries with more? Most importantly though, if I were to research it or listen to anyone spouting on about the pros and cons (especially politicians) I, firstly, would be very dubious about believing what they said, ie. whether or not they were just plain lying about it for their own purposes, or, secondly, wonder that even if they were being truthful in what they were saying, was it factually correct? So what are the other benefits of being in the EU? I thought that passing through borders without needing a passport was going to be a cool one but that never really happens does it? Everyone still wants to see it,.. (the passport that is) Living/working in EU countries - a benefit only of use to those who want to do it.! So where/what/are there any benefits for everyone else? Although, if it is going to cost more to lay on a Mediterranean beach in the sun having a few San Miguels - I`ll have to vote to stay in....
  14. Hi and welcome. Maybe you need to work on your skills of persuasion - 6 years to obtain her permission !!
  15. Hi and welcome. A lot more older Z owners on here than you might expect.
  16. 5.3 seems a bit over optimistic. The quoted figure for the 370 for 0-62mph(100kph) is usually that, slightly slower for the auto and roadster and the 350 about a 1/2 second or so slower again. Do remember an old episode of Top Gear where they had a drag race of the two and the 300ZX easily left the 350 behind.
  17. But, surely, for a fair comparison you can`t just ignore the monthly cost to rent batteries and hide it in the short term monthly figure to lease the car. If you like to buy and own your own cars then once it is bought it is going to cost you £30odd every month in battery rental irrespective of whether it`s even moved off the drive and going to cost you more then each month than if you had an ICE car that you spent less than £30/month on petrol for.
  18. I thought most if not all EV`s had a monthly charge for the batteries? So instead of comparisons like - "It cost a few pence each night to charge up compared to £30/month in petrol", why aren`t we seeing - "It costs £30odd/month battery rental + a few pence each night to charge up compared to £30/month in petrol" .. ?
  19. Hi and welcome. I think notifications only come with Likes and Quotes but there are different options which can be set in settings.
  20. Not a fan of any really, and don`t think I`ll need one cos I`m getting older (only got the Zed at 53) but for me the only 4X4 type that doesn`t look like a big ugly brick or box shaped is the Evoque.
