  1. Perhaps if we knew what the "not recommended speed" was we could better assess what went wrong (or how much of a danger you are on the roads)....
  2. I think the issue here is not just about using an empty lane but more about people who try to push their way in at the end of it. Yes it`s stupid to just keep going and going until you hit some one trying to push their way in but when you have the right of way why should someone who is being more pig headed get away with it because they are determined to make you av it ! Not that I would ever risk the Zed but I don`t think these drivers should just get away with it and drive how they want because they are prepared to be more reckless than you and it`s nice to see one get his comeuppance.
  3. The Renault driver was completely out of order no matter how much you disapprove of cars shooting down the empty lane to get to the front of the queue. You cannot use your car to block an open lane. Even if he didn`t cause any danger to the other driver at the very least he could be prosecuted for inconsiderate driving. I think the thing is with most of us we dislike it when people shoot down the empty lane to the front of the queue because they are most likely to be the type of driver who will then push their way into the traffic at the end no mater what.
  4. I don`t know if it`s my eyes getting progressively worse or just wishful thinking but I immediately read Bikinis there. No girls in swim wear then ?
  5. You should be able to get a good or even better deal when taking their finance as they`re making money on that too.
  6. Sorry about that. Did I mention I saw a black 370 in Tyldesley ?
  7. Black 370 about mid day opposite direction to me on Hough Lane and, unusually, I saw it in time to flash and, equally unusually, some one who waved back .....
  8. My favourite type of photos. Not done any with the zed but last time we were in Cancun ;
  9. As on page 1 this is obviously going along the lines of 350 owners voting for the 350 and 370 owners voting for the 370 and I presume there are a lot more 350 owners on the forum than 370. Interesting though how many 350 owners do prefer the looks of the 370 ? - quite a few I suspect, and how many 370 owners prefer the 350 - not very many at all I suspect !
  10. Not a fan of the black side skirts. Looks like replacements have been fitted that came in black and haven`t been painted yet. Also, not so sure on the Nismo wheels. Don`t think they are really any nicer or maybe even as nice as the standard ones and think there are much nicer wheels around if you are changing them, but I do think dark wheels look much better on white cars...
  11. Having been through two divorces myself you have my greatest sympathy and best wishes. Luckily I`ve only had the Zed since getting married for the third time so wife no3 is going to have to stay (or go under the patio .. )
  12. I think it`s the same with all cars, when a new model appears the old one just looks old and dated ...
  13. Sat Nav is only standard on newer GT`s. When I got mine it was an optional extra on the GT (and pretty much brought the price up to that of the GT Edition).
  14. Going through Tyldesley today towards Atherton just before 12. I was parked up on the main road waiting for the wife and she pointed it out going past as she was getting in. Said it was a lady driver.
  15. You need to work on your divorce strategy. I might av lost the house a couple of times but always managed to hang on to the cars and bikes .......
  16. On the look out for a nice genuine 350 now then ?
  17. I never use the voice control but seem to remember that it won't work on mine until I've accepted the warning message on the sat nav screen each time.
  18. Welcome. Not so good as a shopping car - we have to take the wifes Mokka to Asda to fit the monthly groceries in !
  19. Mine was around £250 last June with Bell (part of Admiral group),26 yrs old, 6 yrs NC, but with one bump (not at fault). The Mrs is also on my policy (26, 1 bump against her name). Always worth shopping round & every year I phone and 'argue' with Bell, always results in a discount! thats good i just bartered my renewal with Privilidge from £295 down to £272 I got my renewal from Privilege end of last month at a little over £300 which they got down to £270`ish when I rang them up but I swapped to AXA for £210 + 20 quid cash back from Quidco. Well happy .!
  20. Pretty similar looking ....I have to agree with PPod, the 350 does look much sexier and it sounds like a 370 wouldn't be an improvement in performance either! http://www.pistonhea...---2009/3643330 I think you should `av gone to spec savers......
  21. You did well to last 30 years mate. I lost interest in the job in 93 when the Sheehy report started to change things.I managed another 5 years afterwards but it ruined the job. Lost a fair amount of benefits and my supplied accommodation was sold off with all local beat area knowledge moved to divisional stations and the strategic target mentality was born. Also longer shift times etc And Sheehy was nothing compared to what the current government have done to the job !
  22. Why did you declare it? I wouldn't have. Household insurance has zero to do with motoring insurance. My car insurance repaired my car and were then going to write it off when the building insurers denied liability. I had to take out a civil claim before they eventually agreed to pay up (including any extra costs). But my motorcycle insurance had come up for renewal in the meantime so it had to be declared as a claim on my car insurance.
