  1. We were over at Lincoln at the weekend house hunting again and saw the one they`ve got parked up at RAF Waddington.
  2. I would think it will be the Highways Agency who will be liable/responsible.
  3. Just do it. Wifes come and go. But that nice special car .......
  4. Thats quite lucky. When I cancelled my Yamaha R1 insurance policy 3 months into it (£60 a year it was costing me), I expected a small refund, but was told id actually have to pay them £120 in order to cancel it. They had an early cancellation fee of £50, plus admin costs, plus they would cancel any initial discount on the policy etc etc.. I was amazed. Id been with them for 4 years and the only reason I was cancelling is that they wouldnt let me add my Ducati 996 to the policy. Even though both bikes were worth the same amount, i only wanted 3rd party only so no extra risk or liability for the insurance company, and tbh, the 996 is a lot slower than the R1, so surely im at less risk of crashing if im out on it. But, unfortunately they didnt see it that way. After much haggling we settled on id pay them a £40 fee to cancel, meaning my £60 for 12 months insurance actually ended up costing me £100 for 3 months. sigh. WTF... Mine was less than £100 for the year so I didn`t expect much of a refund but now having read that I`m just glad they called it even.
  5. For me they are very costly on Tax and fuel but very cheap on insurance. As above must just be an age thing. But agree the insurance companies don`t half like to rip us off at every opportunity. Just cancelled my bike insurance 5 months into the policy, as I sold it pending the (hopefully) upcoming house move, to be told "thank you, we have cancelled the policy, there will be no refund though"...
  6. I have to say this was the first thing that occurred to me when I read the other thread..... We slag off and don`t like Nissan dealers/technicians working on our cars. We much prefer the Indys. The Indys employ Nissan trained Technicians .......
  7. Hi and welcome. I am sure some Nismo owners will be along soon to tell you how much better they are and I have to concede that I`ve never driven one. But for me giving the Nismo just an extra 16bhp was pathetic and certainly not enough to notice any difference in performance and firmer suspension is just what I wouldn't want on our crappy pot holed roads. It is a nice looker though (Mk2 not MK1) and if cost is not an issue perhaps worth the extra for that alone.
  8. My first proper long(ish) time girlfriend from almost 40 years ago found me on Dooshbook a few years ago. Was really good to have a good old catch up having not spoken or even heard of her in all that time but unfortunately it came to an abrupt end when the wife insisted that I unfriend her (and then had a right strop with me because I told said ex girlfriend why I was unfriending her) ....
  9. I wonder if the Trader/Traders in question will step up and reveal themselves to make known their rational on this .....

    NEW RIMS

Wheels look nice... Tyres look pants....
  11. Hi and welcome. I think there`s quite a few of us on here in our 50`s, and older, on the quiet .....
  12. The girly wuss` that don`t want to get dirty, smelly, greasy diesel crap from the filler nozzle handle all over their door handles and steering wheels. (or daren`t do so because it`s the wife's) Or, maybe just me if no one else bothers about that ...
  13. And your hands get all filthy and smelly filling it up which is then transferred to everything you touch on the interior because the petrol stations never bother to fill up the disposable gloves ....
  14. Definitely not, they're married now Oh dear! Sounds like Mrs Ekona needs to be introduced to the 'reward' system reward system ................. there's a reward system .................... I've been married 23 years and no-one told me anything about this ????? Oh yes. It works along the lines of - you do everything you possibly can to make them happy and give them everything they want and they reward you with a divorce ...
  15. Congratulations. Love York, we`re there again for another few nights beginning November. Didn`t realise you could get married in the Minster (not that I`m planning number 4 though).
  16. I would just be thankful that there was still that many officers around in my town. With the way this government is/has been cutting budgets and numbers pretty soon there won`t be enough officers left to provide any kind of response to anything at all ...
  17. Hi, I`ve seen a few around the area over the past couple of years but no one seems to be on here.
  18. About 14;30. We were just coming out from Asda and saw an orange 350 stopped on the side road just off the bypass.
  19. Didn't notice the colour of the wheels but the reg ended something like UXY and started with N.
  20. On the bypass about 2.15pm today clockwise after Damons. We were behind in a white Mokka having been doing some house hunting over there.
  21. Looks very nice. You got to love the old 2 strokes with expansion chambers on. 250 or 350? I got a GT380 few years ago with a view to getting that back on the road but gave up and sold it again when I realised it was just going to be all spend, spend, spend.
  22. And Resident Evil Afterlife and Retribution.
