  1. Looks really clean underneath.
  2. I was 52 when I got mine and driving experience was never a question that came up. I went from an RCZ to the Zed and it wasn`t a great lot more and hadn`t had anything much power wise before the RCZ. I always find the best price on GoCompare and don`t remember there being any questions on there about experience.
  3. I`ve seen a black one in Gainsborough before but no one acknowledged it on here.
  4. Don't use the phone very much, mainly just answering calls but never had any problems hearing or being heard. Seems to work just fine.
  5. Personally I`m not a fan of soft tops. I don`t think we get enough nice weather in this country to make it worthwhile having to put up without a proper roof over your head just for the odd few occasions when you might get it down. If I was abroad with the sun out and the roof down everyday I`d probably have one.
  6. Managed to get mine down to £182 this year. Cheapest ever. The new post code helped a lot. And should eventually get £26 cashback on it as well, so, £156 really.
  7. I`m sure that the spirit of your actions has just not been conveyed fully in the story because, on the face of it, that reads to me that you willingly paid up the full amount and then tried to get money back from him using the feedback as leverage and the fact that you reduced the amount you would accept, again to me, would indicate that you perhaps realised you weren`t really entitled to it as opposed to you were being reasonable about it. If he was difficult to communicate with initially surely that indicated he would be even worse to try and get a refund from?
  8. Just got mine and the wife`s left now since the MGF got sold a while ago and the last of the motorbikes just before the house move. (another one is on the cards, though, just as soon as we`re finished bringing the bungalow out of the 1970`s)
  9. Just had 2 weeks in Thailand so got to wait till September now for the next one - 2 week cruise round the Med.
  10. Bad news - I`m about to take a 240 mile round trip ro pick up my foreign currency for the holiday tomorrow which got delivered to the old address because I didn`t realise that I hadn`t changed the address on my Currency Club account.... Good news - Where as I`d mormally go in the wife`s Mokka (£25 fuel as opposed to £50) I`m going in trhe zed in case she needs her car... Oh .. and we`re off to Thailand tomorrow for 2 weeks in the sun ....
  11. I hardly notice it on mine but I think that`s because it hardly ever comes on, as above, it`s very hit and miss. But when it does come on, it does seem to release as soon as I start to move off. On the wife`s Mokka it seems to be a lot better.
  12. I like to keep mine tidy and clutter free, so, 2 pairs of sunglasses in the glove box and 2 phone leads in the centre console.
  13. I believe that nothing changes on existing vehicles only for new ones from April or whenever it comes in.
  14. Like the colour with the dark wheels.
  15. I had a mobile fitter change all 4 tyres on mine on the drive recently and made a point of telling him about how concerned I was that the wheels not get damaged with them being a dark colour and as I have managed 4 years now of keeping them un-kerbed. I don`t know if that`s what did the trick or, as per my thread on it, he was much more competent than some kid at the local tyre depot but he managed it without a mark on any of them so it can be done if they`re careful.
  16. I can`t really empathise with your issues over children. I don`t really have the strongest of paternal instincts when it comes to my own children let alone any step children but I can relate to being dumped by someone that you love. I left the first wife to be with the second and 7 years later we split up. It was her doing and not what I wanted al all. I was devastated and hoped and prayed that it wasn`t really happening but in the end, and as hard as it was at the time, I just had to accept that she didn`t want to be with me (otherwise we wouldn`t be splitting up) and I didn`t want to be with anyone that didn`t want to be with me. It`s not easy and takes a while but gradually you get your life back together and move on and meet someone else and the whole traumatic experience becomes just a distant memory.
  17. About £45 more for the 5.0 V8. I new it was going to be a lot cheaper here than M29 when I actually got a refund after we moved ..
  18. You should have a 370Z and a LN2 post code .. £182 renewal at the end of Feb...
  19. I`ve just arranged my renewal for the end of the month for the first time at our new Lincs post code as opposed to the old Manchester one and, although I didn`t think it was particularly expensive before, it seems ridiculously cheap now for such a high group car. £182 (+ £26 cashback from Quidco) .....
  20. If I remember right ioneabee did his in red and put a thread on here about them.
  21. Nice way to get out of ever having to do the shopping again. Welcome.
  22. Got new tyres all round put on today as it`s due an MOT at the end of the month and they were getting quite low in places. Although, not too impressed with the wear rate, it`s not quite done 16K yet and rarely gets driven putting any great demand on the tyres, I stayed with the original Bridgestone`s as MPSS`s were coming up a lot more and with the Wife`s Mokka needing 2 new fronts (at 45K and still loads tread on the rears!) I was already looking at just over a grand (+ the cost of the service, MOT and insurance all due at the end of the month ...... )(and £33 for new wiper refills off Ebay which arrived and I fitted today - presumably at a huge saving of just getting them to do it at the service though). Got them fitted at home on the drive by TyresOnTheDrive using the rational that a bloke working on his own with a fully equipped van was likely to be more competent than a young kid on a YTS scheme at the local KwikFit or equivalent. He seems to have made a decent job of it, as in I haven`t found any gouges out the alloys yet anyway, and the price seemed good compared to others on the internet + should get £33 cashback from Quidco and, hopefully, another 4 years of tyre related trouble free motoring.. Just noticed it`s in 350 not 370 sorry..
