  1. Yeah, but rev up owners saved about 6 years tax by not buying an HR!
  2. We need pics of the engine please. You can tell instantly as the cam chain covers a different on the rev up. I had problems with my belts as well when I changed them and definitely have a rev up (56 plate originally). Ignore the intake and plenum, but this shows the different cam chain covers. Top is DE, bottom is Rev Up.
  3. Performance Friction are about as good as you can get, but are very expensive. I use stoptech discs and hawk pads and have been really impressed with them. Daily driving and a few track days and I'd definitely buy again. DBA are also supposed to be good. As Coldel stated, it sounds like your mechanic wants to sell you some EBC...
  4. Killed by Alien, Terminator and Predator - Legend!
  5. Regardless of the legality, a 10 second google is all it took... http://www.platemyride.com/plate-simulators/import-plates/ Pure idleness!
  6. From a 2009 post by someone from Motordyne on basically the same subject (US forum): It does make a very small difference on the DE and only over 5500 RPM.
  7. You have to pay ~£1.40 a day for access to 30,000 miles of road... Bargain, I spend more on coffee each day.
  8. I'm guessing this feature was used a lot after the suspension thread... ...has anyone seen this?
  9. I always try to keep under 100 in snow, 180 seems a bit too fast for the conditions! Summer tyres are ok as long as it's flat. Any incline makes it pretty terrifying.
  10. I've changed mine before... which means anyone can! The only problem you will run into is if you leave your handbrake on (or in gear). As you are lifting the rear wheels make sure the fronts are chocked so your car can't roll away!
  11. +1 for Atkins, I've been taking mine there for the past few years and they've always been excellent. It is a bit of trek, but worth it knowing that people are actually going to take care of your car.
  12. It's not looking good for me... I have a North Face coat and a Superdry coat as well as a few other Superdry items. I have several football shirts although they are used for the gym or football. I tried on a skinny pair of jeans once, but they or I wouldn't fit... depending on your perspective. I couldn't wear a vest... unless you're Bruce Willis or a Latino gangster, they look ridiculous.
  13. Thanks for organising this Stu. The wall and desktop look fantastic. I'm glad my shots made it.
  14. On the 350, if you don't put the plug back in correctly the fan blows full power. The fact that someone has disconnected means that there is almost certainly something lose. Might be worth checking everything again?
  15. Does sound like a sensor, but the 370 suffers from high oil temperature. Maybe worth replacing the sensor and then getting an oil cooler as well to ensure it doesn't overheat in the future.
  16. Sorry to hear dude. I guess it depends on how much work you can do yourself and if you know some friendly mechanics. My guess, and it is a guess, would be that you could get a new VQ fitted for around £3k. I would expect to have to spend around £10k to get a V8 in and working (Although that probably depends if you want air con and a speedo etc.). The maths would suggest you could chew through 3 VQ's before you had spent as much as you would on a V8... Someone who knows more about this will be along, but at least it starts off the debate!

    New Z

Looks like a cross between a Honda CR-Z and QBert... I'm out...
  18. It's worth noting that the difference between L and H is around 1.5l - 1.8l (Depending on whether a DE or Revup). Assuming it was full of oil at some point (4.7l), then it has lost a fairly large amount. Burning oil is manageable though as long as you check every 500 miles or so and top up when needed. Oil starvation is one of the biggest killers of these engines, so definitely worth checking regularly.

    350z hr bonnet

Like Shezza said, you are highly unlikely to find one in Azure... especially in whatever shade of Azure you have.
  20. I've been thinking about ordering one for a while. The 2018 model is definitely going to be my next car (assuming my circumstances don't change). The new model looks so sleek.
  21. Clearly I am also a 14 year old boy! As for waterless wash... probably ok if your car is already immaculate, like using a quick detailer. If your car is even slightly dirty, then your paintwork would pay the price for a quick wash.
  22. Nowhere I've found yet. I take mine to Atkin Motors in Malton, which is a trek, but they do an excellent job, know 350's and the owner's son is/was a member on here. They are also a Nissan garage which means you get the Nissan stamp in your book... if you like that kind of thing. I used to take mine to Simon Green in Horsforth, but after a couple of bad experiences (Not putting the gearbox oil plug back in and a terrible attempt at paintwork - with some shitty customer service thrown in... to name a few experiences, I avoid like the plague). I've not heard anywhere else recommended in Bradford/Leeds, but that doesn't mean a good place doesn't exist...
  23. Haven't they always been getting on for £40K (£37,330 - to be exact for the one I want)? Well no, just under £35k (same as I paid for my Nismo in 2013), for the early birds So in this case, the second mouse doesn't get the cheese!
  24. Haven't they always been getting on for £40K (£37,330 - to be exact for the one I want)?
  25. I think the track is a contractual workaround, so that they could keep an element of TG... although other car shows do timed laps at circuits... It's the only explanation I have for such a terrible choice. I've warmed to TGT over the last few episodes, although my expectations were so low after the first few it would have been impressive if they'd got worse.
