As a weekend toy, the Vette would be appealing if it was a manual. As a daily, the LHD may become a bit of a ball ache... but I guess it depends how often you go to drive-throughs, multi-stories etc. Is road presence the only thing you are looking for? £30k would just about get a 2015 Mustang which has a fair deal of presence and could be used daily... assuming you aren't worried about petrol cost.

I thought there was about a 17% loss in the drive train. So 220ish... which doesn't seem too far out. Doesn't sound particularly good though (Although the might has a particularly pessimistic dyno). Hope you get it sorted!

What you say makes a lot of sense. Maybe a cheaper 1080p stop gap until I next upgrade my system. Definitely interested in visual quality over pixel count.

I've been thinking about a new monitor for a while. My current one is probably about 12 years old, so anything I get will likely be better. It was very expensive and cutting edge when I bought it - 24" BenQ (Was about £700). I've been looking and reading a few reviews, but I'm so far removed from PC hardware I don't know what to get... There seem to be a number of choices: Widescreen 1080p, Widescreen WQHD, Widescreen 4K or Super Widescreen. I mainly play fps, so I'm not sure about going for a Super Wide... although I have nothing to base this on (Other than the idea that the HUD will be outside my peripheral vision). I want a minimum of 27" and WQHD as it wouldn't seem like an upgrade otherwise. My kit probably isn't quite good enough to go 4K. Have a 1070 fax card with 8GB RAM, so may be ok? Budget, not a huge concern, although 4-500 would seem about right for the amount I actually play these days... however, I will consider anything if it is worth it. Just after some input from those who know more? TIA

I'm all over this. See you tomorrow guys. -
The real question on everybody's mind though - where did the Linglongs finish?

I was watching that live on the TV and the crash was truly horrific. What an inspirational young man. A few friends and I completed the 24 hours of Teeside a few years ago. There was a team there from the army made up of amputees and they had a specially designed kart with hand controls etc. Having seen first hand how disabled people can adapt, I have no doubt that Billy will make a success of whatever he puts his mind to.

Good maths oops That's 10% for the insurance company

Good on you. When I got hit a few years ago I also used a claims company. I had an Audi TT for around a month. Must have cost a fortune... but then I didn't put in for any BS whiplash. Hope you get sorted soon and it doesn't go down as the usual 50/50...

Thanks guys!

Hi Guys, My wife and I are doing Tough Mudder in Yorkshire this year and are raising money for the road safety charity Brake. This is a charity I'd never really thought about before, but I'll get to that later... Brake do a lot of great work to improve the safety of our roads. They also support families that have lost loved ones in road traffic accidents. They do this is a variety of ways, most commonly linking up victims and families with ‘people who have been there’, to help them cope with life after an accident, or loss of a loved one. Earlier this year my Brother-in-Law lost his life in a motorcycle accident. This has understandably impacted our family greatly and we want to do something to ensure that other people who are going through similar situations can get the support that they need. It would be amazing if you could help us raise some money for Brake to ensure that they are able to continuing offering the support services that are so vital to families dealing with life after the loss of a loved one. Thanks for your support https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Gillian-Maidens1 https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Gillian-Maidens1

+1 for honey. Local honey is supposed to be even better as that will have been made from the flowers / plants that set of your hayfever in your area. I've been doing this for the last few years and my hayfever seems to be a lot better. I still do also take tablets though!

Anyone know an expert of birds (feathered type :))
Paddy78 replied to gangzoom's topic in Off Topic Discussion
I'd guess at starlings, only because they hang around in big groups. I'd rule out seagulls as you aren't near the coast. I'm sure you already know, but wash it off quick as bird muck will eat the clearcoat! -
Should i watch the Spanish or Monaco Grand Prix?
Paddy78 replied to brillomaster's topic in Motorsport & Track Days
Spain was also dull -
This is a really good read. I have a very cheap - probably motorcycle helmet that I've used for several track days... Looks like I need to spend some money before the next one...

[SOLD]Nissan 350z 2007 - Bargain for project/parts sale - £1,500
Paddy78 replied to ArsenalMoh's topic in Zeds For Sale
Whilst the vultures circle, would it not be worthwhile getting a second opinion? Also, you can probably source parts more cheaply online etc. I guess it all depends on why it failed? -
I genuinely still have the scar from the last time I ironed something. It was about a year ago before our engagement photo shoot... not a pleasant experience, and the iron burn was fairly nasty too.

Looking forward to this, thanks for the heads up.

Looking absolutely stunning going up the JCT600 hill. Driver gave me a nice wave too. I was only paying half attention, so just about managed to move my fingers off the wheel in reply! Not seen a mk1 in the flesh before and never really fancied one. This encounter has definitely changed my opinion.

Exactly, who you believe, but this is not a religion, it's a simple tech fact. There are quite a few distinguish members here on the forum with serious IT background They see you via your web cam They know when you're awake They know if what you've been googling is bad or good So be good for goodness sake! GCHQ are coming to town.

I know other events overshadow this, but hearing this today has really upset me. What a legend and old fashioned gentleman, the likes of which we will never see again. The Man with the Golden Gun is one of my all time favourite Bond films, but I could put any of his on and would be happy. His blend of humour and action are unsurpassed in my opinion. Just and incredibly cool guy. RIP

I think we can agree on the with regards to the "Get them all out" comment.

There will always be people looking to radicalise others, removing these people from the country won't change that as access to the Get rid of them? Where / how? That sounds a lot like the views of the people who are inciting hatred the other way. What makes your statement any better than theirs? There is a reason for my hatred, they are KILLING innocent people, children ffs, at a pop concert, does that really need justifying? I wander how you would feel if you lost a relative last night!! Lots of innocent people are being killed all over the world every day. Where are your angry posts about starving children in Africa or the people being killed by airstrikes in Syria etc. etc. No offence, but this seems like a convenient excuse for people to peddle their anti Mulsim agenda.
