    950HP GTR

Insane that he has that much power yet stock pads! Have you seen some of the builds over on GTROC? They make this look tame!
  2. Finally had a chance to wash Zee yesterday!

    Hose pipe ban

So the hose pipe ban doesn't include your work place? If you work from home and are registered as doing so you can still use a hose?
  4. What colour wheels are you eventually going for? If black, go black lip, if gun metal go gun metal
  5. I had my first track day experience at Oulton Park in January. It was only for half a day with 20 minutes instruction near the end. The afternoon was great and the instructor in 20 minutes improved my driving more than I did in 3 hours. I spoke to a few people and they all said that Oulton is one of the more testing circuits but I didn't have any issues as I wasn't driving like a loon on my first time there. If you drive within your limits to find what you and the car are capable of you'll be fine. I started off looking in my mirrors alot worrying about faster car but you just get used to it and stop thinking about it. You'll end up having a much better and faster experience if you just concentrate on your own driving and just let people past when it happens. I'm definitely looking at going again! Oh and the day I went to was Novice only, by the looks of some of the cars and drivers they didn't all look like novices so an open pit lane probably wouldn't be that much different, certainly nothing to be worried about!
  6. I've used Parcel2Go and Interparcel before many times. They are just a 3rd party service which displays the prices of couriers such as DHL, FedEx. Then you just pick what you want, generally the cheapest with insurance. I've never had an issue with them even when I had to put a claim through it took no time and they sent a cheque out. Another one is http://www.paisleyfreight.com/ that I know quite a few people use for sending wheels.
  7. Just wait until they've got a nice chunk of cash from you, then they really start to not care. Once the money is in their pockets most estate agents are as useful as s chocolate teapot. Ridiculous that all they need is good manners, timekeeping and organisation to get a hell of a lot more custom, yet most fall over on the easiest of things then expect you to be ok paying admin fees, check-in fees, check-out fees, etc
  8. You're never too old to change career, especially if you're not happy! I've just handed in my notice at my current place to go full-time freelance. Not as much a career change but not having a constant wage is going to be different! A full-time course would just see you through it quicker, if you've got money saved up to see you through and a bit extra then it might be the best option, but only if you're 100% certain on that's what you want to do. If you were happy at where you are but just wanted a career change I'd have said stay where you are, train in the evenings then leave if/when possible. But if you really don't like your job but don't have any savings to do full-time training, could you look for a part-time job somewhere or can you train up as part of job seekers?
  9. I had no problem with CAC when I ordered my AVX840 back in September, the guy on the phone even price matched the wrong model, the 740, so I got it for £330 + delivery Only thing missing is the steering wheel controls which at the time no one had the correct lead in stock as JVC decided to bring out a headunit without the correct steering wheel control lead, muppets! Still need to get one bought and fit it!
  10. Decent episode last night, the lambo is just I never think of Top Gear being a car enthusiasts programme as the missus will happily watch it with me and she doesn't really care much for cars!
  11. I do love driving in front of 'Mr X5' with his fog lights on. Perfect height for me to be able to see **** all. Even thinking about it annoys me, nearly as much as people who think indicators are used to tell you they're moving into your lane, regardless of your presence.
  12. Bah, only just realised it's on, missed the first 10 minutes, anything good?
  13. Were you only there in the morning? I had my first track day in the afternoon, saw about 4 other zeds there. There was also a crazy stripped out Corsa that easily kept up my my zed!
  14. Great read and it will make me think twice about putting 452's on 19" when I do get them. I've never really rated the 452's but sometimes you don't realise how important tyres are when you're constantly thinking about power gains.

    Brakes binding

If I leave the car stationary over the weekend and it's been quite cold I get a clunk/thud sometimes when I first move off, never really thought anything of it. Just assumed it's down to not moving for a couple of days and being really cold!
  16. Can you get hold of the RII 350Z? http://www.exoticspeed.ca/popup_image.php?pID=4881
  17. Found this on YouTube of the R1 - Sounds nice with HFCs! Can you get the different tips for the 350z R1?
  18. It was specifically asked on the course "do you have to tell your insurer" to which they responded "you don't have to tell anyone, not even your wife" Apparently they once had a husband and wife both turn up for the same course, but they hadn't told each other. She had "gone shopping" and he was "going to play golf", what a nice surprise that would've been, 4 hours sat next to wife
  19. Every county has different limits but here's a good guide - http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?aut ... icle&id=34. I was offered the course after doing 58 in a 50.
  20. If you take the course you don't have to tell anyone in the world. I went on one a few weeks ago, wasn't exactly fun but you do learn a few things. The most annoying thing is having to sit through "discussions" where there's only ever going to be 1 correct answer, and it's never going to come from someone on the course.
  21. It's normal for it to do that, I drive to and from work at a snails pace most of the time in first/second and the car pulls itself along at 4-8mph without my foot on accel/clutch. When you say the revs increase when you change gear, is it all gears at any speed or when you're going really slow? If you're going at a snails pace and stick the clutch in then revs in my car go up slighlty as it seems to use less revs crawling than at idle.
  22. Would never buy a phone on eBay, never know the condition it's in and it can be a right faff to get your money back even with Paypal. Best place I use for buying electrical items is AVForums. Loads of iPhones for sale, cheaper than eBay and they'll be in the condition they're stated. Bought 2 iPhone 4's from there in the past, both been great. That's on top of a TV, selling a Mac Pro and loads of other things, nice community on there! http://www.avforums.com/forums/iphone-c ... d-adverts/ Oh and there's a difference between jailbroken and unlocked. Jailbroken just allows non-App Store apps on the iPhone via things like Cydia. Unlocked means its unlocked to all networks. Don't go buying an iPhone that just states "JB" and expect it to work with all networks!
  23. Got a K2 on my 54 zed, fitment was fine until I added HFC's then it was wonky. Garage made adjustments to the hangers rather than the actual exhaust so it sits much better now.
