  1. Yeah that's next, I don't have any glue to stick them back on with so they'll stay like that for now
  2. if you find a decent looking car post it on here, might be an old members car!
  3. Cleaned and new matte black badges! Front Rear
  4. Decided to Plastidip the front and rear badges last night, turned out really nice. WIll get some photos once they're on the car and cleaned later! Think I'm becoming obsessed with the stuff, so easy to use.
  5. Definitely let us know what you think. Wouldn't mind doing one myself and for the amount you learn £400 will probably seem decent afterwards.

    Arch Rolling

Thanks for the name Ian, had a quick look for photos and it looks nuts! Think I'll email ArchEnemy with some photos to see if they can do it. If it was just the lip I'd do it myself but flaring would just go tits up if I tried it

Don't worry, I'm not a fan of stretched tyres either but the guy I bought them off bought a brand new set for the rears when I bought them off him. WIll be getting some 275's when I can, will have to do for now though!

    Arch Rolling

Tyres fit fine, just a bit stretched as they're 235. The wheels do stick out a bit from the arches which is why I think just rolling the inner lip won't do anything. The actual arch needs to be higher, or I need to change the ride height as it's currently dropped 30mm. This shows the wheels from a side on view of the car.

    Arch Rolling

Well looks like I definitely need this doing! Went over a slight pothole in the road and heard my rear tyre slam against the wheel arch. I don't think just rolling the lip inwards will work though as the wheel/tyre is slightly wider than the arch. Has anyone flared the arches on a zed? I don't want anything that looks daft but wondering if I have 235 wide tyres now and want to put 275 on in the future the arches may need to rise a fair bit! Can't seem to find any photos on rolled arches, not just the lip. Wheels I'm running are 19x10 ET24 with PCD adaptors making them ET+4 and ET-9.
  10. Think I sorted this for him back in January when the started the thread
  11. Have a look at my build thread, just out some matte black wheels on my gunmetal zed
  12. FlyEyes! I didn't like the look of the stuff when I got it in the post but once it's on the car looks much better. I'm thinking of wrapping the B-pillars and roof satin black, think it'll work? Have got some Hexis from RTB to do the centre console and front lip so might do the other things if the weather picks up soon.
  13. I couldn't help but go and clean the car! Some better photos
  14. The first photo in the thread is just after I bought it, with Eibach springs on it then, unless I've been conned
  15. Where it's currently parked I can't take a wide angle shot as it's next to the house, will get one tomorrow when I get back from work Yeah I'm not overly keen on the tyres myself but they came with a brand new set on the rear, I'll definitely be getting something wider when I next need tyres, or even in a few months if I can sell these ones on.
  16. The car needs a good wash but after spending all my time removing nuts that have been put on by the Hulk, I won't have a chance until next weekend! For anyone else that gets stuck nuts, ahem, go buy Irwin Bolt Grip Remover Sockets, an absolute lifesaver but even with these the very last nut would not move. I ended up blow torching it, hammering on a smaller bolt grip socket, waiting for it to cool then wrenching it off. Said bolt now looks very sorry for itself after WD40, Freeze & Unlock, standard wrench socket, a blow torch and finally bolt grip socket. Now for the good bit, the wheels My only issue at the minute is whether they stick out from the wheel arch too much or not. Been reading around about the law on this and it's a very grey area. Some people saying they can't stick out, some saying they can but only up to the tread and others saying a certain distance regardless of tread showing or not.
  17. Just what I've been after! Ordered one for collection tomorrow. Good spot
  18. Thanks for the offer, the wheels are all on. Will get some photos up of the nuts post removal. These are my new favourite thing - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Irwin-Bolt-Grip ... B000QW6K8I. Dig themselves into a nut and make it easier to get out. One of the nuts was on that tight I had to heat it for around 60 seconds, hammer a nut extractor on then wait for it to cool them use a breaker bar to get it off. Can not believe how much effort it took to get all the wheel spacer nuts off, previous garage must have torqued them far too tight as each one make a big cracking noise when it got free.
  19. Soft isn't the word, they're made of ****ing jelly. Using a 6 sided 19mm socket has wrecked most of them as they were on that tight, no idea how tight they were put on but it made taking the wheel nuts off childs play. Are they made of steel? I need to buy a new set but want to get something stronger as whatever these ar it might as well be jelly.
  20. Managed to get a 6 sided 19mm socket, hardly anywhere stocks them instore. Had to drive 25mins each way for this!
  21. The ne wheels are 19", only thing annoying me about them is they came with 235 wide tyres all round. I really wanted to go 245/255 on the front and 265/275 on the rear. But the fornt tyres have 4mm tread and the rears are brand new fitted after they were taken off the previous car. After much faffing around with wheel spacer nuts I'm hopefully getting the correct socket size after work and will be fitting them this evening if the weather holds out or tomorrow. Also just received some satin black Hexis from RTB which I already have plans for!
  22. If he does turn up I wouldn't mind taking him to BTCC at Oulton Park in une if he's available
  23. 19mm on these spacers on the front. I have 19mm impact socket but due to it's thickness it won't fit around the nut. Will have to go buy http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165469 tomorrow!
