  1. Not been here long myself but welcome! I'll hopefully be going from a 1.25 Fiesta to a zed over the next few weeks so I know how you feel!
  2. Off to see a few zeds on Sunday! Spotted a few round garages in Manchester/Stockport. I've not a real good look around a zed yet so just going for a nose as a lot of them seem a bit overpriced and I'd rather buy from an enthusiast who's looked after the car. I've got just over 4 weeks to find what I'm after for £10k, heres hoping!
  3. Interested depending on the touch screen quality and operating system mostly!
  4. How's this all be going then? Would love to get one and I've built enough computers in my time to know my way around the hardware/software but how does it all hook up to the car? That'd be my problem!
  5. I've been running through insurance quotes for my first zed and they come out cheaper on a driveway then in the garage, and then cheaper again on the street than on the driveway. Crazy and it's still £1200 fully comp but its the Manchester postcode
  6. Cheers Ricey! The best zed I've come across so far for what I'm after is an 04 GT, 33k miles, new exhaust and UpRev'd for £10.5k, which I'm thinking is a bit much but not totally sure? Looks in perfect condition and well looked after but I'd have though it's £1k overpriced? Also, I've come across two that are pretty very similar in spec, age, condition but one is £2k more, with 25k miles less. Does the milage have any sort of bearing/knock-on effect on the car or is it like you say, more to do with service history and how its been ran?
  7. How important is mileage on a zed? I know a fair few people have said it's more to do with the service history and how the car's been looked after but does mileage have anything against the car? I know a few people have reached 100k miles without many troubles but I've always been a bit wary of cars with 50-60k+. Do a fair amount of zed's suffer from rusty exhaust and rear clicking or is it quite uncommon? Would it better to go for a car that's had these fixed/replaced over one that doesn't mention it or would the problem have come to light by now on a 5+ year old car? Nice zed Danny, just a bit out my price range with me moving house now confirmed today!
  8. Thanks ewan, looks decent but I was hoping to find one closer to Manchester. There's someone here that might be selling a zed that's not too far from me and the right colour/leather combo. I'll let you know though as I'm after alzean leather
  9. Some awesome colours on the cars, Jag XX and Merc SLS colours are quality! Except that illuminous AMG
  10. Great guide! Will definitely be looking after the zed properly when I find one!
  11. Due to moving house costing a fair bit more than I was expecting and I'm now limited to £10k. GT + tan seats + P3 service done would be perfect
  12. Coupe ideally but wouldn't rule roadster out
  13. Congrats! Looks lovely, would've been interested if I was in the market a week or so ago!
  14. Looking for my first foray into the world of 350z! Up to £12k for the right one. Under/around 40k miles preferably with P3 service done. GT pack Any colour, swaying towards not black leather as well! I'm in Manchester so anything close by would be a bonus! Thanks
  15. I love to tinker with anything I buy, I'm sure I can take that bad habit into a zed Just running through some insurance quotes and a standard GT is coming out at around £1100, cheaper than I was expecting, Admiral multi-car looks like it might be great for the missus and I. I've been having a look in the For Sale section on here, some good cars in there, can I post within threads or do I need to be a member for 3months+/50 posts, or is that just for people selling and not buying?
  16. Thanks for all the welcomes, certainly an active forum Been having a look around all weekend online at prices/specs, what, in your opinions, is a decent spec/mileage for up to £12k? Seems to be a big price difference between 2003 to 2006 models, some going from £8-9k for the older which I thought might be too cheap? Also I forgot to ask, is there a section on the forums for general running costs of a 350 or would a few nice people be able to let me know what they've spent, outside of modding, on running their 350z over the past 12/24months? Thanks!
  17. Hello from "lovely" Manchester! Finally getting round to buying my first 350z and getting rid of the Fiesta I've had for 5 years! Hopefully I'll find out more and more about them from nosing round the forums as my current knowledge of zed's is little to none! Where's the best place to start reading around? Just looking for usual problems, what to watch out for, what to expect for £10-12k, ideally a GT but not sure if that's asking too much for the money. Thanks!
