  1. Definitely interested if you can get something round the North West, ie Oulton Park.
  2. I've already got a 1/2" breaker bar. I'm hoping that I do have the correct socket and that I was being a full on numpty. Need someone to confirm the nut size on spacers though otherwise I need to order some bits this evening.
  3. Sorry, I've got 1/4" and 1/2" drive torque wrenches. The attachments that I had wouldn't fit either so I tried the 3/8" wrench I have and voila. But looking at the toolkit I have on Halfords (http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_255215) I do have 20-32mm 1/2" drive sockets, so maybe I'm just being ridiculous dim.
  4. Good tip John! WIll definitely be doing that. Just need to find out the correct nut size and what size wrench I need for it.
  5. I've got 1/2" and 1/4". Neither fit the wheel spacer nuts though. I did have something that fitted but couldn't see size markings on it and due to its size there wasn't enough leverage to get the nuts off.
  6. Ah will do! Need to find somewhere I can get tools tomorrow as I want to get the wheels on asap
  7. Handbrake was on and the wheel hub was moving. Girlfriend didn't fancy getting into the car whilst it was in the air The only wrench I've got is a piddly little thing so it was impossible to move any of the nuts. Need a breaker bar and then I suppose torque wrench for putting them back on as I don't fancy them being lose! Just wondered what they are as 1/4" and 1/2" didn't fit.
  8. So I thought I'd stick the new wheels on this evening after work, jacked the car up, took the wheel off and then realised I needed to take the spacer off for a PCD adaptor I've got for the new wheels. I didn't realise they'd not be 1/2" or 1/4" so both torque wrenches, breaker bar and extensions that I own couldn't be used! Are they 3/8" on the wheel spacers? And how do you get them off without having the wheel hub spin?
  9. I wanted to go for dark wheels so with a handful of Plastidip spray cans I went to work, still waiting for it to dry now before putting them on the car. After 1 layer of Plastidip PCD adaptors as the wheels dont come as 5x114.3mm standard
  10. Took the day off work today (30/05/2012) so I could be in for some new wheels arriving! I wanted something different after looking at so many Rota's.
  11. After waiting for a couple of weeks my Plastidip order arrived. I think they don't have much stock as they're always running low! First port of call was to remove and spray the exterior door handles.
  12. After that it was onto a personalised number plate. Wanted one for years but a 97 Fiesta wasn't exactly worth it I also added Berk HFCs and headed over to RS Tuning to get the car remapped. Along with the 06 velocity stack the car makes 302bhp. Added some rear LEDs which meant I could finally get a FlyEyes kit and darken them.
  13. That's how it started anyway! Bought in April 2011 from a member on here. Came with quite a few mods that I was going to do myself so thought I'd save the time and travel! Plenum spacer UpRev Japspeed K2 Wheel spacers Eibach springs (30mm drop) Stubby aerial One of the first mods I did was to get the rear side windows tinted limo black. Still meaning to get the rear window done.
  14. Just got tickets myself! Heading there with a few mates for the weekend, you going both days?
  15. Although its not carbon you can always try Plastidip for smaller things

    Arch Rolling

Yeah i'm looking for someone up North, round Manchester who can do it for less than the £190 I've been quoted. I'm sure you posted in here RTB, maybe someone didn't like Husky's services being 'advertised'?

    Rota GTR 19"

Found some wheels over on Driftworks which are getting delivered tomorrow, can't wait! Thread can be closed

    Bodywork Quotes

HG Works in Manchester quoted me £800 for spraying and fitting a new front bumper, rear bumper and side skirts. I thought that's ok as I was expected £200-250 for front and rear each. http://www.hgworks.co.uk/cms/services

    Arch Rolling

AE quoted me £150 for all 4 corners plus £40 travel expenses as the nearest guy is in Yorkshire. Bit more than I was hoping to pay!

    Arch Rolling

There's no Arch Enemy place near me unfortunately, all down south by the looks of things!

    Arch Rolling

Just bought some new wheels and I may need to get the arches rolled. I remember someone on here had the machine themselves and were renting it out but I can't find the thread anywhere! If not, does anyone know anywhere in Manchester that can do this? I've had a quick look at ArchEnemy who charge £90 per pair of arches, but you can buy the roller yourself for £120 on eBay if it's worth doing myself?

    Rota GTR 19"

Might even be tempted by 18s. Second hand at the minute, seeing if there's anything out there before buying new! Few over on Driftworks but they come with naff tyres or no delivery
  23. Ultimate green paint code is 9GFE5ZA as RSOC. edit: Too late, Coldel beat me to it!
  24. I've been reading sbout running costs of an R35 and while they are high, they're not as high as some people make out. Once the cars out of its 3 year warranty youre better of getting it serviced at a specialist such as Middlehurst or Litchfield whose prices are much more reasonable! The £11k repair bill was an error, Nissan have changed the price of replacing the system apparently. It's still expensive if you do hit someone but for around £70 you can get something which disables the bonnet popup in a collision.
  25. I wish my insurance was £820, renewal time at the end of this month and I'll be paying well over £1000
