  1. +1 on Lockwood and greenwood. They were recommended to me by other forum members. They've been servicing my zed for the last 7 years. Loads if NW members use them and I reckon they see more Zeds than the local Nissan main dealers. A Micra courtesy car is available. If you don't mind them driving your zed they will even do a pick up and delivery service to you if you are local. They will give forum discount and don't mind you supplying your own parts. Many moons ago they were a Nissan garage but found staying in the franchise non viable. However........they still have their original Nissan service stamp! SO YOUR SERVICE BOOK WILL STILL HAVE NISSAN STAMPS
  2. Also, if you came to sell it on in the future, it would be easier to sell a defect free one even if it was purely cosmetic.
  3. Good to hear things are running better now. Just regular oil level checks now to make sure things are ok......best done overnight from now on
  4. I love the name TITAN. If Optimus Prime was ever reincarnated as a pick-up, it would be this
  5. Oops......sorry link didn't work. But yes....that's the beast. Thanks for the fix
  6. http://img-2.gizmag.com/nissan-titan-warrior-concept-2.jpg?auto=format&ch=Width%2CDPR&fit=crop&h=394&q=60&rect=79%2C25%2C1830%2C1029&w=700 I reckon this is one of the nicest new Nissan designs for a while. No need to worry about 0-60 times or handling. Just cruise around "like a boss"
  7. I have had a few occasions over the past 10 years where the inside screen is dripping wet with condensation. I'm sure I've no leaks as this is not rain related. If you've no leaks and want to minimise the problem, try some of the silica bag type in car dehumidifier bags.
  8. I can't offer any help with the noise I'm afraid. The oil pressure does increase with the revs and drop again when you take your foot off the gas. However, once warm the lowest my DE will drop to is a touch under the 1/4 marker. I'm also quite sure running with too much oil is not good. To get an accurate oil reading it's best to leave the car for several hours or overnight. If I remember correctly from L to H on the dipstick is almost a litre. Hope everything works out.
  9. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/60924-best-site-for-deep-dish-rims-for-350z/page__st__20__hl__+cragus%20+sale#entry904626 I loved Cragus' black Zed. Check the rims on post 27 His rims were a lovely Matt dark grey with red lip. Red calipers would then of course be mandatory!
  10. How about a retro arcade theme along the lines of Pac Man. Each car could be one of the coloured ghosts and one Pac Man himself. Not sure how expensive that would be.
  11. When I had Tyres fitted last year I gave the bloke an extra £20 to take extra care. He was real careful. Especially when breaking the bead with his lever. But where the machine clamped onto the rim you can see a slight mark on the lip like swirls in the lacquer. I just accepted it as one of those things as I couldn't see how he could have avoided it. With the others he reverse mounted the rim on the machine face down on 4 thumb sized plastic chips. I think we were both sweating as he lowered the face down trying to balance it on these Anyway, from now on it looks like a more stress free procedure for both me and the fitter
  12. This is a YouTube video of the machine in action
  13. Rim friendly Manchester Tyre Services I visited MANCHESTER TYRE SERVICES in Openshaw today. Great family run place. They have 2 tyre machines. The regular Megamount and the all singing all dancing Megamount Smart. The Megamount Smart uses metal free plastic components in contact with the rim. No more worries about marks on your rims come tyre change Just make sure you request the Megamount Smart machine!
  14. That clay mitt will save you alot of time. I have the same one and will only use regular clay for awkward corners now.
  15. Welcome along. I had my zed about 3 years before joining here too! Very surprised one of your Rays buckled. Always thought these were tough forged rims. How did it happen? Anyway nice to see another sunset owner
  16. Welcome to the OC. What part of the country are you from........and don't forget pics of Zed
  17. Just googled that colour....... Mesmerizing. Kinda like midnight purple with azure and a mix of fairy dust
  18. You should have posted a pic of yourself in front on the zed with a cigar ala Hannibal from the A - team "I love it when a plan comes together" Must be most satisfying sorting it all out yourself.
  19. http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/191716263144?_mwBanner=1 You might need one of these^ I got one last year supplied and fitted for about £100.
  20. Nismo V1 kit and LMGT4s........match made in heaven
  21. If its any help I had a leaking slave cylinder on my old Prelude and you could see the fluid leaked underneath the carpet around the clutch pedal.
  22. When our first kid arrived we had the wife's mini as our PRACTICAL car for nearly 3 yrs until 2nd sprog was born. Will the TT take a baby seat in the back? Fatherhood was a bit of a shock. House was upside down. No sleep/social life. My zed was my little retreat.... My OASIS OF CALM. My little piece of the world that reminded me of ME.....that I could keep clean and orderly. My zed kept me sane through early fatherhood
  23. I actually think they suit the 350z more than the 370z......no idea why
  24. The tips polished up nicely in the pics. Always liked this style of tip best. If only Miltek and Scorpion came with OEM style tips like is Japspeed I reckon they'd sell alot more. GLWTS .......on a side note, is that a pole dancing pole in the background
