  1. The black Range Rover in my video belongs to a work colleague. Try as I might I can't convert him to detailing proper. He just takes it to the cheapo hand place next to work who do the Range inside AND out for a TENNER! It's been through their heavy duty scrubbing 4 times so far and is holding up strong in comparison to the untreated door. I put a quick C2v3 coat ontop knowing his maintenance is poor. He's waiting to see how many washes before the fillers are gone. But it's hard to give a true assessment as even if I machine polished the door it would look mashed after a dozen visits to the car wash place I'll try and get a new video after he sends it in for wash number 5

  3. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252112202005?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT This is where I got mine on ebay.
  4. http://vid272.photobucket.com/albums/jj181/andyten/Mobile%20Uploads/20160422_135737.mp4 Try Soft99 scratch clear wax. Heres how it helped where a bush scraped along whole side of car. Door on left untreated. Door on right treated with it by hand with a MF cloth
  5. Try ZMANALEX for the original. If he hasn't got one I'm sure he'll know where to point you.
  6. Very true^ Also I think I remember standard 18inch rims came with 21mm lugnuts. The screwfix one is perfect for my aftermarket nuts but originals may need an extra socket attachment.
  7. http://www.screwfix.com/p/laser-telescopic-wheel-brace-500mm/13244?kpid=13244&cm_mmc=Google-_-Product%20Listing%20Ads-_-Sales%20Tracking-_-sales%20tracking%20url&cm_mmc=Google-_-Shopping%20-%20Auto%20and%20Cleaning-_-Shopping%20-%20Auto%20and%20Cleaning&gclid=COHBtYeVucwCFRITGwodK_kIaA Always have this instead. Makes such a difference with the extendable arm and at £7.99 its a no brainer
  8. The odd thing is I am quietly jealous of the amount of time you have been able to spend detailing the zed. To most normal folk it would sound like a miserable weekend having to do that lot.........how odd are we eh
  9. It would be fun to park at a Nissan dealership next to some R35s awaiting sale while you have a browse. Then see people's reactions when comparing the quality of the paint on the "prepped" cars awaiting sale to your "old" zed! Probably got a better finish on yours than most of the 16 plate cars o the forecourt
  10. In the words of Hannibal from the A-Team "I love it when a plan comes together"
  11. I dug out Initial D last night. I'm fortunate to be able to understand Cantonese so watched it in the original dub. Loved the mix of action, comedy and emotion. I think Ronin may be the next dvd to be dust off and played. How about you?
  12. Always nice to hear of another Manchester member. Welcome to the world of Zed ownership. If you see a sunset orange zed commuting along Kingsway in Manchester it'll probably be me
  13. If you say you can't spare ANY extra time.......try Soft99 Scratch Clear Wax. Just substitute your SRP for this stuff. Apply like SRP with a MF short pile cloth until it goes clear. About 30-60 seconds. Then quick swipe to buff. Only £18 on eBay so worth a punt. I like it and it worked wonders on my Sunset and a black Range Rover. Here's a video of results. Left door swirl/Scratch city, right door treated by the Soft99 stuff in 5 minutes. http://vid272.photob...0422_135737.mp4
  14. Happy hunting on Tuesday. Hope to see pics of your new acquisition real soon.
  15. Welcome along. Your zed is looking mighty fine wearing it's Nismo suit.......very batmobile like
  16. Hi Ryan. I'm based in Manchester. I'm no expert in checking over prospective cars. Having owned my zed 11 years I can pass on what little i have come across andI have in the past taken a new member out to see what a good example feels and sounds like. Where abouts near Manchester are you?
  17. I've had Avon zz3 before and agree they do look tasty
  18. GLWTS It's amazing how well the Celica spoiler compliments the Do-luck kit on the Zed.
  19. Congrats on the new car and glad to see you didn't leave the Zed fold
  20. Wow.....the prices look as mouthwatering as the cars! If I was there I'd feel like a guy in an executive strip club with a pocket full of quarters instead of $100 bills
  21. Congrats and welcome from another Andy On a side note.......on black paint I can't recommend Soft99 Scratch Clear Wax highly enough. Check how I used it removed the swirls on my mates scratched up black Range Rover here....... http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=377859
  22. Thanks again guys for the kind comments
  23. http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=377859 Here's a link to me helping a friend whose black car drove against roadside hedges. Whole side was buggered. Front door untreated. Passenger door treated. I can't get photobucket to embed my vids here?
  24. Yep, thanks.....that's my sunset. Just back from L&G myself. Can't fault their service. Been using them 8 years now. With zeds a bit long in the tooth, not many will be going to Nissan for anything. So the guys at L&G will be ALOT more used to working on Zeds than most if not all techs at Nissan.
