  1. Thanks - I'm in a habit of using the 'search' on the general forum, i forgot to check the technical section. Moderators: feel free to move this thread if necessary.
  2. Hello all, My front discs need replacing, and the garage I use have quoted £140 for the discs and £38 for the pads (labour extra), both Brembo. Research online would suggest this is reasonable - I wondered if I should stick with the Brembos, or whether you enlightened chaps / chapesses would recommend a different manufacturer? Edit: I only use the car on the road (no track use). Thanks in advance, Suffolkz
  3. Brilliant, thanks for help!
  4. Hello fellow z'ers, While washing the car the other day, my microfiber drying cloth caught underneath the 350z badge on the rear, and snapped a small section of the 'z' off meaning it now looks more like 3507 than 350z. After a few seconds of panic, I found the piece on the driveway, and it will fit back on as the break was clean ... but I need to know: What sort of glue should I use, and do I need to scrape off the existing glue that is still on the car (the piece that snapped off has no glue on it). Cheers, Suffolkz
  5. I'm 6 foot 3, had my z for the last year and love it. Plenty of info on the forum, so do you're research on here and you won't go far wrong!
  6. Ooooo that's not too far! Awwwww haha I would make reference to being flashed in other ways haha but I won't start that! Well if you see me about, give me a wave and I'll be sure to wave back! What's the East like for meeting up? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Steady now! There's a group that meet in Yarmouth, but I've never managed to get along to that one. I see you've found the East Anglia meets section so you are in the right area. I'm sure there will be more in the summer!
  7. Welcome along, good to see another East Anglia based Z, i'm Ipswich based. In reference to the waving at others, despite seeing a few about, I've never had anyone wave back or flash their lights Can't wait until i cross paths with a friendly z driver!
  8. Unless I've missed it, socks and sandals... just no
  9. docwra - we have friends who teach in private education and they say the same thing, I think it could be worth trying that avenue first before giving up on teaching.
  10. Thanks everyone, very interesting reading you thoughts. To answer a few of the questions - what she loves is being in the classroom, actually teaching, and doesn't know what else will give her that kind of reward. Getting paid loads isn't her driver. I guess that's the trade off though, a different job perhaps wouldn't be as interactive etc (although the career / training options would be close), but you would get to have your evenings and weekends all to yourself!
  11. Thanks guys, some interesting thoughts, I think there is probably a lot of areas she could go into, it's just finding out what they are! Both of yours are not paths we've looked at, so thanks!
  12. Hello everyone, My partner is a high school maths teacher, and loves teaching children, but absolutely hates the politics / marking / planning and everything outside of the classroom. The result is that she is usually very stressed and spends most evenings and weekends trying to catch up. The problem is, she doesn't know what she'd do if she changed job and isn't interested in becoming a head of department / head teacher. So, has anyone else had similar experiences or know of others in a similar situation? Plus, what have people gone on to do if they have changed career? Thanks, Suffolkz
  13. Wishing Caroline a speedy recovery, and all the best over the Christmas period.
  14. Thanks BulletMagnet, I'm just round the corner from them and had never heard of them!
  15. Hello all, I've got my first MOT and service as a Z owner due in December, mine's a 54 reg, which by looking through various threads put me at a P3 service i think. Any advice for what i should be telling the garage so they change the right fluids etc, or will they know? Also, anyone around the Ipswich area know of a good garage they've used for their Z? Cheers
