When I had Tyres fitted last year I gave the bloke an extra £20 to take extra care.
He was real careful.
Especially when breaking the bead with his lever.
But where the machine clamped onto the rim you can see a slight mark on the lip like swirls in the lacquer.
I just accepted it as one of those things as I couldn't see how he could have avoided it.
With the others he reverse mounted the rim on the machine face down on 4 thumb sized plastic chips.
I think we were both sweating as he lowered the face down trying to balance it on these
Anyway, from now on it looks like a more stress free procedure for both me and the fitter
