  1. I had a leak in my cellar a few months ago. Puddles of water on the carpets not just damp. After sucking up the excess water with a carpet shampoo hoover the dehumidifiers only took a couple of days to dry it out. No windows or heating. So they are pretty good
  2. It's not all doom and gloom. If I remember correctly the damage only occurs higher up the rev range around 4k. So if it was occasionally run on normal but not driven hard there would be less chance of damage than if redlined frequently on normal unleaded.
  3. Love reading some of your replies. Gets the message across in an interesting and entertaining manner:lol: Anyway back on topic. It's a rarer car and they know we zed owners will pay inflated prices. I had a custom exhaust made for a Mini Cooper at about £250. Got them to quote on my Zed and it was a whopping £1200. Now I know it's a bigger system but can't be FIVE times bigger
  4. I have had a similar experience and can confirm what Ekona said above........ I HAD MY PANTS ON THE WRONG WAY ROUND You live and learn. I will ALWAYS check my pants before confirming my orders now
  5. DO NOT use normal. Super only or there is a risk of engine damage!
  6. My zed has been going there every year for the past 7 years. I too am very happy with this family run garage.
  7. I can vouch for this quality product. This is mine. I had an OEM one but the retaining bracke broke. THIS IS BETTER THAN OEM imho Thanks 14N
  8. Thanks for posting. That was awesome. Had to pull rank on the missus and interrupt her TV drama to watch it on the tv for full effect

    New Wheels

Wow! If those are your winter wheels, you must have some pretty special summer rims.
  11. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00HSPR7L0/ref=mp_s_a_1_12?qid=1447629491&sr=8-12π=AC_SX110_SY165&keywords=black+and+decker+dustbuster+pivot+18v I got this from an outlet store fir £50 couple years ago. A charge will do a family saloon car/about 7mins.......and that's with the bombsite around 2 child seats too! Use it alot round the house too (crumbs in the sofa, skirting boards and the tops of door frames etc) Can't match a proper vac but I can't do without mine.
  12. http://www.scienceda...00622081359.htm The AC reduces fuel efficiency even when used in winter as a dehumidifier. When warm I'll always have it on. If windscreen is foggy I'll use it. But personally see no need to have it on ALL the time. Just having a little fun with this gizmo to be honest and if it doesn't prevent those odd times when the screen is dripping wet it's no biggy coz the AC is always there like others have mentioned.
  13. You need to use AC every week or so even in winter. However, like you say, when you switch it off the vents chuck out ALOT of steamy air into the cabin. To combat this turn off the AC about 10 mins before journeys end. Turn heat up. It dries out the moisture in the system into the cabin. Most then escapes when you open the door. When you start the car next day with no AC you'll have ALOT less condensation thrown outta the vents. Back on topic. I'm finding the blue indicator dot takes a week to go pink. Followed microwave instructions and it's blue and ready to go. Minimal hassle. So far I'm quite happy with it.
  14. I could stare at those rims all day long Matt My all time favourite on Zed.......if not any car. Are you running them them over the winter or swapping them to winter rims?
  15. Hi and welcome to the OC. When looking at the Nissan service sheet you will see that for the Zed there is ZERO difference between a P2 and P3. So at 10 yrs it's the same ol same ol P1/P2/P1/P2 etc Just add coolant and brake fluid changes every couple of years, sparks every 5 yrs as mentioned in the service book as additional items. Although the service manual doesn't mention a time scale for gear box and diff oil changes I would change these out at 10 yrs unless proof of it being recently done.
  16. Sounds like a gem of a find. I'm looking forward to pics on arrival.
  17. Welcome to the OC. As mentioned its probably the AC Turn it off and no more condensed water will be drained to beneath the car. You'll just end up with foggy windows instead Don't worry though, all zed's tend to suffer from poor ventilation so once you know it's just the AC you can use it to demist your interior when needed Ps. Don't forget to use AC now and again even in winter to prevent the AC pipes drying out and cracking!
  18. On a Zed there is no difference between a P2 & P3 at a Nissan dealership......bar the price! Assuming you take it to an Independent just follow the advice given already. Also check the inner brake pads. Often the outers have plenty meat on giving the false security all is well. If you let the pads wear too low inside you'll be wrecking the discs ie added expenses.
  19. I got one last week. I reckon you'd need at least 2 as with one on the dash the rear is still foggy.
  20. Certainly suit the silver. CONGRATULATIONS
  21. Costco sale starts again on 2/11/15 0w30 available for the same price
  22. PS. Maybe he has lost the form so get a new copy printed off too
  23. When I have to sign such forms for my patients, once I have identified what kind of form it is the patient is told what the charge is and normally told to return in a day or two NOT 6 WEEKS! Any form which only requires 15 mins or so of my time should not take this long. At the very least this GP should feel a little embarrassed by the whole situation. As mentioned above, inform the practice manager and GP of the situation and that it is imperitive the form is completed ASAP. Find out when the GP finishes on your chosen day. Forward them of your visit. Go a bit early and collect in person. Stay calm and play the damsel in distress card. The sympathy card works better than the threatening one. If the GP is still not sympathetic they obviously are lacking in any compassion and wouldn't respond to threatening behavior any faster. Hope it all goes well.
