M.P.G......is this a record?

Hello folks

 

I've just managed to clock up 27.1 mpg......woo-hoo! Tha's pretty good going I reckon and I haven't been driving like Miss Daisy either. very pleased with that for a 3.5 litre.

 

Can anyone beat that?

Yeah if you reset to zero and go on a long motorway journey you will see a low 30s return. The Z is really not bad economy wise for what you get.

Yeah I reset then went up the motorway and was seeing 38 at around ridiculous speed - but fairly steady for 30 odd miles. Sadly my usual average is more like 15 but that's 'cos I drive like a tit - gotta love that V6 roar from the roadster

if i drive crazy eco styley and get everywhere late i get at 10.5 km/l which aint even 25mpg

 

my car does run quite rich tho..... pop pop bang burble

mines worked up to 27.4 since i got it and just seems to stay there.

I use it at weekends on decent runs though so no pissing about in traffic going to work.

Yeah my last trips from scotland to Wales have been at 34mpg at high but steady speeds, I feel when i try to save fuel i lose mpg lol

If you press reset then drive very steady you can get upper 30s low 40s

i reset mine after getting a remap by horsham about 300 miles ago. 12.4MPG. I blame the invidia gemeni i had fitted too. 6k RPM really livens it up

I have a pic somewhere of mid 40's. I reset it on the m6 50 mph section.

 

I recently did stansted and back in mixed conditions and speeds and managed 31.

 

Always surprises me how good a tourer the car is.
