Heart Broken!!!

Hello all,

I will try to keep this short and sweet.

I recently brought new tyres off of black circles website, no problems there.

so fitting day came and I went along to AUTO MEDICS to get them changed. After they had removed one of the wheels they told me they were going to have problems fitting the new tyres as my wheels need the tyres to come of a different way. (I know very little about tyre fitting so bare with me). They also said it may put three small pin pricks in the rim. So after asking what else I can do they said that's about it, as they didn't know any where else that could fit them. so I agreed that 3 small pin pricks will have to be.

After a hour hour of waiting I was asked to come and view the wheel. what can I say my heart sunk.

picture time.

I was very calm and then told them they would not be touching the rest, and that i would find somewhere my self. All of a sudden one of the mechanics remembered another place called Shirleys and I had to then fit the other 19' by 275 tyre in my 350z and drive there!

Shirleys did a great job and agreed that AUTO MEDICS should have never taken this job on.

Since then I have been in contact with black circles and am making slow progress toward getting a new rim.

A new rim is needed as they are chrome and supposedly unrepairable.

So now the story part is over I would like some help finding a UK distributor of RACING HART wheels model RS-521. 19"x9" +28. Tyres: 235/35/19

Iv searched the net only to find the US selling them.

Sorry if all the is does not make sence, it was rushed on my iphone

i go to a specialist for my 20" BBS wheels, they have a special BBS wheel attatchement to allow them to do the wheels upside down in owder to protect the chrome ring or something like that. but it doesn;t require putting any marks on the wheels.

glad you have found a place for future reference; sorry to see the damage.

my advice is to source it through tarmac sports, he can get most things state side but be charged by a UK company as a UK company. i.e. if the wheel place are buying the replacement they can deal with tarmac. ;)

Thanks guys I'm currently in contact with black circles

They have asked for a price of the wheel.

Tarmac I would very much appreciate a quote for the wheel full price as I'm trying to go though their insurance and I do not mind about price as yet, however thank you so much for the kind offer! And if all goes wrong I may take you up on it. If the quote could be all 'proper' I will send it to black circles if that's ok?

Hate seeing this shite !!

If you can source one then give me a shout and I will ship it in at cost price to save you any more cash.

I may be able to get trader discount too which you can have. Hate to see members out of pocket through no fault of their own

we used to have this problem all the time. Many new sports cars now come with low profile tyres and normal machines simply can't remove them without denting or makring the alloy.

I remembered getting fed up asking all the garages "can you take my tyres off without scratching my alloys" and many say no or cant assure it.

Saying that now there are ever more new workshops with new machines which can remove low profile tyres or use alloy protectors to stop scratching.

But shockingly many people don't have new machines and still depend on old techniques which will break your heart.

I am a tyre fitter who has dealt with everything from stretched tyres, to rubber bands that not many could fit (265/25/22 for example), reverse mounted £20,000 wheels and so on, I still cannot for the life of me work out why they would need to "pin prick" your wheel. They obviously have a very low spec machine that is not capable of doing low profile tyres.

To do that mess and expect to hand it back as though everything is okay is just ridiculous!

I take mine to tanvic who are a cr@ppy low rent set up but they have always done a really good job with no damage whatsoever

ep racing takes all his tyres there also. I know this doesn't help this thread though.

Really sorry to see this. I am sure with the guys on here that you will get it resolved!
