LRF4N Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Came across one of these and thought that car is just perfect... The countache was stunning as are modern lambos but this is for me automotive design at it's best What's your one all time favourite and why Lamborghini Diablo for me Quote
leonk Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Without doubt one of the most beautiful cars ever made Quote
LRF4N Posted March 10, 2012 Author Posted March 10, 2012 Leon some of us are still young and may not remember/recognise some cars Details please Quote
Chesterfield Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 LRFAN, Its a Ferrari 250GTB. Im growing ever fonder of these by the day however. Somewhat more affordable than the £12m+ 250GTB's too Quote
Ekona Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Just three little numbers. 917. Not a single bad line on that car. Quote
Will370z Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Easy choice, ferrari 250 GTO just a little out of my price bracket though http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/17/ferr ... 5-million/ Quote
rtbiscuit Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 So many i'd love to own, don't think i could pick a favourite one ever though Jaguar XJ220 Ford GT40 (old one) konigsegg SSX but i think my top one might just be the Alfa 8C Quote
leonk Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Leon some of us are still young and may not remember/recognise some cars Details please Cheers for that! I'm not drawing my pension just yet. to be precise, it's a 250 GT SWB Quote
LRF4N Posted March 10, 2012 Author Posted March 10, 2012 That 67 camaro is nice! The f40 and f50 for that matter are definitely up there Quote
Ekona Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 F40 is ugly. F50 is by far the superior car, proper engine too Quote
Wasso Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Lambo countach, just an epic car Me too, childhood favourite by a country mile, although in today's era the Koenigsegg CCR, read up how airflow is controlled through the car, as air flows in through the front it ends up going through the engine and exits via special vents around the rear lights. A 180 defree wrap around screen amongst other great design features one truly amazing car. Quote
RisingPower Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 For me at least it's the soul and character of a car. Once you've heard a countach standing a few feet from it, there really is nothing else. I couldn't really care less about technicality, for me that's not what a supercar is about. Quote
daveparkin Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 A 6R4 just because of the sound I'm with you on that - the sound of a 6R4 coming through the forest is something pretty special. Having said that, any Ferrari with a Colombo V12 engine makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up...... Quote
Sarnie Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 I've already owned my realistic dream car. When it was released in 2003 I was determeined to have one someday. In March 2007 I told the Mrs I was going to buy one at the end of the year and she said OK. The OK was the green light for shopping to begin and in June 2007 I took delivery: Spent £4k on a decat Tubi set up and I've not heard anything like it. If I was spending the same money again, i'd buy another one, nothing else. The only thing that really grabs me above this sort of car would be a Zonda F Quote
The Bounty Bar Kid Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Bugatti Veyron - for the technical genius Ferrari 599GTB - for the gorgeous looks and power Ferrari 250GTB - for the gorgeous looks and classic feel Lambo Diablo - for that childish dream Quote
RESTELL Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Has to be the Ferrari 308GTS, Aston Martin V12 Vantage, and the E Type for me. Quote
